</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Great news. S-Jax received 25 touches on a gimpy groin last week, but the upgrade from questionable to probable (and from limited participation to full) indicates that he's setup for another carry- and reception-filled day. It's coming at the right time, as Week 5 opponent Detroit ranks No. 32 in run defense.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Although S-Jax was not at full strength, Thomas did note that he looked much better than he did in Week 4. The fact that he played until the final whistle of a blowout suggests that his groin issues are mostly in the rear-view mirror. Jackson is a good bet for 25 touches against the Chargers in Week 6 even if he is lacking big-play ability right now.

As we suspected. Tweeted Jackson, "It has been a busy day. Yes, I had surgery on my ring finger but I shouldn't miss a beat. I'm not married so I'm covered there too." Coach Steve Spagnuolo was noncommittal in Monday's day-after press conference, but there's very little chance that the surgery would cost Jackson a game. S-Jax is currently fourth in the NFL in rushing.

There's no reason to doubt that self-assessment. No running back in the NFL has a more reliable track record of missing practice and still playing on Sunday's. We've seen nothing out of St. Louis that would suggest S-Jax is in danger of being held out this week. Rotoworld ranks him fourth among all fantasy backs for Sunday's matchup against the Panthers.

Steven Jackson - RB - Rams Steven Jackson (probable, finger) practiced on a limited basis again Friday.
Jackson is being limited because he still has pins in his finger. He'll start Sunday's game at San Francisco and have them removed before Week 11. November 12 - 6:08 p.m. ET
