Excellent piece on ALS, its description and how the decline within a person stricken with the disease can happen quick over time. I feel ALS and Muscular Dystrophy are very difficult as you decline physically but your mind remains sharp.

Tough to make it to the end of that video, thanks for posting JC

A fellow at my church that I saw about 10 years ago (young guy in his late 20's), I noticed someone not just right. He went to healing mass every Monday and so did I. As the months passed, I knew his skills were failing, but I did not know what for. Many moths after, his walk became slower and slower. As time passed, he could no longer move his arms. One Monday I see his father wheel him in. Found out that day he was suffering from ALS. Few months later, he passed. So for a total of 3 years I watched him fail, not knowing what for. Brutal way to go
