I only knew Stephen for one year..He was known to his friends and family as "CITO"..If there was a basketball game to be played..in Panama..Nicaragua..CR..anywhere..he was there..He always had a respectful way about him..He filled the lane, crashed the boards, and loved the friendly competitiveness of a pick up game..

Yesterday he died playing the game he loved..basketball..Pete Maravich..Reggie Lewis..Stephen McDougall..they all died playing the game they loved..I know there are many people who knew CITO better than I did..I am just a gringo hoopster that CITO let into his world, and I appreciate the space he had given me..I tried to help him with his Jumpshot..He felt it was the weakest part of his game..WE shot around for hours me trying to teach him the art of shooting..while all along I only wished once I could blow to the hoop and throw it down like CITO did..

We will all miss him..Thanks CITO..You made our games at the club much more competitve..You also made this gringo feel like a part of your establishment..
