The Pittsburgh Steelers and Antonio Brown have reached agreement on a four-year, $68 million deal that makes him the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
He is now tied to the Steelers through the 2021 season. He tweeted a picture of himself signing his new deal, which averages $18.5 million over the next three sasons and $17 million over the next four, sources told Schefter.
The Steelers announced the extension as a five-year deal. Brown was under contract for the 2017 season with a scheduled base salary of $4.7 million.
The Steelers had promised to rework Brown's contract this offseason. They restructured his contract last August, advancing $4 million of his 2017 salary into his base salary for 2016.

Brown, 28, is considered one of the best receivers in the league and has been a key piece of the Steelers' offense for the past several seasons. He had one year left on a five-year, $42 million contract he signed in 2012.
A 2010 sixth-round pick out of Central Michigan, Brown has been to five Pro Bowls and has earned three first-team All-Pro nods in his seven seasons. He led the league with 1,698 receiving yards in 2014.
He is the first player in Steelers history to finish with 1,000 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns in three straight seasons.
Brown drew the ire of Steelers coach Mike Tomlin for posting a Facebook Live video from the locker room after a win against the Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs that caught Tomlin's postgame speech, but the incident appears to have been put to rest.

ESPN's Katherine Terrell contributed to this report.

Terrible.

Guy is a cancer.

He sure as hell wasn't a game changer against the Patriots. He looked like a high school player out there.

The Patriots just don't pay that kind of money to anybody. Brown getting 22,000,000 per year. This reminds me of Flacco's salary, seems absurd.

And I'm a big fan of Antonio Brown (Flacco not so much)

Looked up Gronk's salary, 6 years 54 million. 9 million per year

Flacco should have married a supermodel who makes $30MM + a year and then maybe he would have given the Ravens a discount after the Super Bowl. His contract is silly but not much else you could do in this day and age of paying these QBs stupid money

Agree. This could be a game changing move. It won't take long to know.

Nice work AB!!

Brown became the fastest player in NFL history to reach 900 receptions when he made his first catch on Sunday, off a 10-yard first-quarter toss from Brady.
Brown, 33, reached the mark in his 143rd NFL game to beat Hall of Fame receiver Marvin Harrison, who did it over 149 games in a 13-season career with the Indianapolis Colts.
