Yeah, definitely looks fishy. Vick did look decent yesterday, but I still see it as -6 or 7.

Thought this line was going to be at least a TD so this is pretty surprising. Steelers did play a very physical game vs. Ravens last night so not sure how banged up they came out of that game. I can only imagine what Rothlisburger and those receivers are going to do vs. this atrocious Jets secondary. The Jets haven't forced a turnover since the San Diego game which was a month ago. Plus, there will probably be a minimum of 40,000 Steelers fan in attendance at Met Life (probably a semi home game for Pitt here). Other then the Jets "are due for a victory" theory, I couldn't put a dime on them.

its not a fishy line. That is a correct line. Would you take Pitts -10 vs jets at home? -4 away equal -10 at home

This is exactly the type of game the Steelers lose under Tomlin.

Two huge wins in a row at home vs good teams......now going on the road vs arguably the worst team in the league.

Steelers will have their D's sucked all week on TV. They will go to NYC and lay an egg. May not lose, but will have to fight for a FG win at best.

I doubt I'm playing this one though, as the Steelers offense has caught fire once they found a legit #2 WR in Bryant.

As a Jets fan I must argue here with Sheldon Richardson, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Nick Mangold, and Nick Folk... I also think that Ivory would be their #2 back (he is a beast)... and I think either Decker or Harvin would unseat Wheaton as the #3...

With that being said... Pit -4 seems like a gift... and everyone on here is right... every line for the Jets the last 6 or so weeks has seemed like you SHOULD bet them using the "fishy" logic... Watching every minute of their pitiful secondary this year though... With Rapelisberger (as I affectionately call him) coming in with damn near 1,100 yards and 12 TD's over the last 2 weeks... I see no way they hang... Somewhere along the lines of 38-24 sounds right to me... but what do I know...

I took this at 4 last night. I see it's 4.5 this morning.

Jets have faced Carr, Rogers, Cutler, Stafford (and in the Detroit game Calvin Johnson was basically a decoy), Rivers, Manning, Brady, Orton, and Alex Smith so far. The stats are very telling. This Jets secondary maybe one of the worst in the history of the NFL. These QBs have thrown for a 63% completion percentage, averaging around 250 yards thru the air, and have thrown 24 TDs to only 1 INT. That's insane.

Now, you have Rothlisburger who has torched Indy and Baltimore the last 2 weeks now facing this D. Steelers play at Tennessee next week so not really a look ahead spot here either. Also, as someone who has been to both Jets/Steelers and Giants/Steelers game at the Meadowlands, there have always been a lot of Steelers fans in attendance at these games. With a 1-8 record, I would expect at least a 60/40 Steelers crowd at MetLife Sunday too.

Idzik is ruining this team . I'm a fan and I believe there is a good chance they might finish 1-15 and hope they do.
Like you mentioned, fielding this secondary every week with 20 mil. under the cap and bringing nobody in is all I need to see from this GM. I hope like you said that Met Life is a sea of Black and Gold and Woody gets the message loud and clear that the fans have had enough of this garbage.

NYJ are the only team with a turnover differential in the negative double-digits. -13
PIT is on a 3 game win streak, Roethlisberger has 12 TD passes is last 2 games, and the world is love with PIT at the moment.

So why is the line -4? Maybe TO diff?

This game has take NYJ or don't play written all over it. But don't play should be emphasized i think. Dont think we can cap games like this one. It's a crap shoot.

Lost in the clouds... PIT last 3 wins have come vs teams with defense in the bottom 10 in yards allowed. 32. HOU (3520) 28. IND (3255) 22. BAL (3147)

At 8. NYJ (2875) .... they're D is 12th in PassYd/G and 7th in RushYd/G. And they've played some damn good offenses.

Basically, betting on this game, i think your guessing on turnovers. i.e. how many times will Vick fumble.

Good Luck.

I'm very new at this and understand that the tides in the NFL change weekly but this is what I see:

The Steelers finally got a complimentary weapon to Brown for Ben to throw to which has opened up this offense considerably (and it has made Wheaton play for his job), plus the O-Line is killing it and Bell is solid. The defense is starting to round in to form and that spells trouble for Vick or Geno or Matt Simms (lol). On the other side you have a team that has nothing going for it, and nothing to play for.

If this was a west coast team traveling for an early game I would be scared to play on it but this is the Steelers making a short trip in the middle of a heated division battle that can't afford to lose playing their best football of the season. I see this as a 38-10 type of game, I'm already on the Steelers and the over.
