Can anyone dig up SU and ATS numbers for teams scoring 40 plus points and/or winning by 21 or more points in their final regular season game? How do they fare in first week of playoffs? thanks

As I always peek at your picks prior to gametime, I hope your considering fading Philly. I wish I could get more than 3 though on the Vikes. Its going to take a whole lot of bets to move it off that number though. Maybe I'll get lucky. Looking forward to whoever can dig that up.

Would it only apply to Philly, since the Colts and Chargers play but both won by > 21 yesterday

Primarily looking for it related to Philly game. Not concerned about Indy as not much effort was expended in that game. Chargers possibly as well now after their game last night.

Teams scoring 40 or more in week 17 are 4-1 ATS in their WC game since 2002. As home favorites they were a perfect 3-0 ATS. As road underdogs they went 1-1 ATS. However, 1 of these instances, the team scored 40 and lost. Thus, teams scoring 40 or more in a win went 3-1 ATS.

Teams winning by 20 or more points in week 17 are 3-4 ATS in their WC game since 2002.

Thanks brother. Interesting in that it looks like the 2 stats sort of cancel each other out in relation to Philly and SD. 40 or more is positive for both but winning by 20 or more is less than a coin flip. The winning by 20 or more stat has a little more relevancy as you can put more logic behind it in terms of a team as a whole letting down a bit.

That's what I thought too - I ran the "scoring 40" but added the second item (margin of victory) because I think you probably wanted to see both, as opposed to (in the first situation) a team scoring 40 in week 17 but actually losing the game. Good luck gogo.
