Hey R.....I`m not the only 1 who thought Crosby shouldn`t have won the Conn Smythe Trophy.

Matt Murray was the true MVP. At 22 years old, and called up from Wilkes Barre mid-season, he took the Penguins to the Stanly Cup. Crosby should have a handed the trophy over.
As an avid Pens fan and one of 87's biggest fans, I was very out off by this decision. He hardly deserved this honor. Murray is my pick followed by Kessel. Tanger would round out my top 3. Granted that Crosby is the leader and I saw him act much more mature that in other playoff seasons, it hardly earned him the Conn Smythe!!
Murray was the SOLE reason the Pens won each series. He was tough throughout and with no Cup experience. If Fluery had gone back in or was available then the Pens would have been out early. End of story! I'm a Caps fan and can't stand the Penguins but totally respect Murray now.
They shut him down decently through playoffs but really without him I don't think they would've made the playoffs so there's that. My vote was for Kessel or maybe Murray though.

to clarify, i didn't think your opinion was way off. For me, there wasn't a clear cut winner. Hell, Murray didn't even play in some games and faced no where near the number of shots as Jones did. Not like he stole a game or anything. Kessel? i didn't see a gross display of two-way hockey , but better than his norm.
