Really, we were just talking past each other. Not even really about the same subject. I was making a point AZ is not the darkest shade of red based on their previous senators and the reasons why that is. Echoing RunMaker comments.

I actually bet Trump to win AZ in 2016, posted it on this site. At the nadir of his value, he got down to like -115 to win it.

You may win this bet and the different political battles may go mostly red for a short while, and then swing back and forth between red and blue... but in the end, make no mistake about it, it will be 100% blue and non-reversible.
The thing about Mexicans is they do not understand politics and do not understand how to vote. They will vote against their own benefit and for their own societal destruction until the cows come home; ie, just rinsing and repeating how they vote in Mexico.
The institutions, roads, schools, neighborhoods, the culture.... all will deteriorate to a lower level; shithole level. It is just the culture of Mexico and much of Latin America. Facts are facts. Although in their minds many Mexicans will believe that Mexico has the peace and efficiency of Sweden and Switzerland (Sweden is being destroyed right now, though).
Anyways, another thing to point out is the stupidity of white Democrats and white Republicans. They simply don't understand and don't get this.

I get where you’re coming from. I just recently relocated to Menlo Park right across the street, so now I live in arguably a more exclusive area. I can assure you that I have been exposed to the other side.
I recently moved out here. I lived in central Ohio when Trump was elected. I’ve seen the endless roads of Trump signs outside of Columbus. Believe me, my judgements are based on places like that more than the exclusive bubble I live in now.
