USC's offense looked anemic yesterday. Their defense is stellar. But, I'm thinking the Cardinal can put a crooked number up and cover the number. Anybody???

stanford +22 GOY for me

June, quick question. I usually see you all over USC in the cfl forum. Do you just think that Harbaugh has Caroll's number. Or is it the USC offense do you think it's to many points. or what makes it the GOY for you, cause I'm definitely thinking taking Stanford as well. Thanks!

I am not sure which way to go either, kinda like the hook but I think USC may get a defensive score in this one.

yeap am a huge USC fan. due to recent performances against mediocre conference foes, especially on the road, points will be hard to come by for the trojans. stanford is a well coached team and is very good at home. they went toe to toe with oregon on the road last week and have been competitive in almost every game they've been in. think stanford stays within 10 points the whole game. Trojans offense has been horrendous on the road, bar Wazzu which is essentially a Frosh/Soph high school team. Stanford keeps this game close.

Not even suggesting that USC covers, but Cal has a pretty highly ranked Defense, that is part of the reason why USC sucked on offense.

I doubt Stanford will get into double digits here. That is going to put a lot of pressure on their defense to grab the cover.

I think the public teams of the country (USC, top 5, Notre Dame, UF, any high scoring team) are being taxed an extra 4-5 points a game, due to the notion that many casual fans are going to take them regardless of the spread... for anyone up against these types of teams, I would mostly wait to get them later in the week, when the public who has seen blowouts by said teams in the recent weeks drive up the lines even higher...just my 2 cents...

I like Stanford as well in this game ...
BUT

I am laying off. One week USC looks good and the next week they look terrible. It is to 50/50 for me.
