SLU has struggled all year, key 6'9" 255 PF transfer Eweziro from LSU & Georgetwon was ineligible early part of season and was not in game shape when he suprisingly was declared eligilbe by the clowns at the NCAA , now he is in better shape and scored 16 Weds vs LaSalle.. also star wing scorer Sincere Parker was out for a long time with a broken bone in his foot, has played for awhile but now is in game shape, scored 33 in 18 minutes Wednesday.

There are some other players injuries and issues but these two are the key.

SLU scored 102 points, which is astonishing compared to earlier results, SLU romped by 18, were up by 26 in the 2nd.

I think they cover today.

SLU +9.5

SLU could have won SU.

Refs took out Ezewiro early he played 14 minutes.

Yes one of his fouls late was a stupid hard push but others were not good calls at all.

Line might catch up to SLU soon let’s see next game.

Bills are jelling but Medley needs a lot less playing time in the rotation.

SLU can get better, had 22 turnovers and Ezewiro had foul trouble immidiately, and still covered by 8.5 points. So if they can work on those two things, perhaps they will be a play ar home vs VCU on the 16th... lets see if the line catches up with them.

I am going with SLU +5 again tonight at home even though 16-8 VCU is a quality club with a good defense, and is overall better than St. Joes.

The SLU offense is clicking, last game Ezerwiro was totally neutralized by questionable foul calls and he should come back tonight with 15, Parker should get 25, and Jimerson should be open enough for 15. SLU committed 22 turnovers but still lost by one on the road, turnovers not a good sign but should be better tonight. IMO even though Coach Ford is on the hot seat they should cover, again. VCU coming off a huge win over Dayton---although that was a full week ago---and it is a revenge game for SLU (revenge games do not always matter, in this spot, it does).

Not as confident as the last game but still enough to go with SLU again.

Tougher call with VCU being road warriors in conference + their defense and depth…but I’m not overly impressed with VCU’s non-conference resume…I agree that St. Louis should shorten their rotation, Medley’s turnovers and lack of scoring aren’t enough to justify some decent playmaking at times…with Parker scoring 30+ back to back and if the big E can stay on the floor with Jimerson’s experience added in, the points are tempting (no ml this time!)…Friday night on ESPN2, the atmosphere should give them a boost as well…good luck Serbone!

The keys to college hoops are defense and rebounds.

SLU allowed 95 points (>20 more than the VCU team averaged) and were outrebounded 39-24. The team is playing hero ball on offense and doing OK there, but not playing D at all in this lost season. Parker scored 30 but did not guard anyone, the season is gone, there should be a new coach next year, and the players know it.

Sorry I thought they had jelled but are not playing to win even though the offense has jelled. I am off them for sure.

I thought that they competed for the most part, but also had way too many lapses on D + a ton of dumb fouls …VCU also shot it out of their minds!…have to at least consider the over going forward with Parker scoring 30+ and the total lack of discipline on D by St. L.

I was thinking the same with "overs".

Yes SLU competed to the very end it could have gone either way the stupid Hughes technical kind of changed the momentum and yes VCU shot better than usual. I thought I had some insight, but nope, SLU is still SLU.

I think some players are audtioning for next yr---putting up some offensive stats for the transfer portal. Especially if Ford is fired many will leave, but even if he stays Parker and Zhang and a few others are goners.
