St. Louis is hot, while Arizona, despite a marvelous season so far, is hanging on by its fingernails. The Cardinals still have trouble running the ball, and they're 0-2 both straight up and ATS in their last two road games. So the smart choice in this spot is the Rams, minus the points. We think as a group[ System Smitty Ryan thinks the books made a mistake on the opening line in this game at -2 1/2 under the -3-point mark. St. Louis had a very impressive wins over Oakland & Washington with some great defence. You have consider Arizona also has good defense. This game will be won on running game and controlling the clock in a low scoring game,[ under 40 points ]. St. Louis has the edge here with three wins/ last 4 games, a 4-0 ATS run and back-to-back defensive shutouts. Last two weeks is in incredible for team with no hope getting into playoffs. St. Louis blasted Oakland 52-0, and last week, the Rams slaughtered Washington 24-0. We all as group jumped on this line at -2 1/2 before it hit -3 at Ceasars, also SouthPoint and Mirage. The rebel Steve Wynn[ sports book at Wynn] opened it at -2 and that did not stay on board very long and went to -3. J.J. Bascus has this game with a Short rest favoring the home team. Rams have been rolling. Rams solid last 4 games. 5 games back? Lost 14-31 at Arizona (though it took 21 4th quarter points)! ARI. His Power rating has Arizona 21.0 to 21.9 Rams [lower number better rating] J.J. Bascus's Power Line is - 1 STL to Vegas at -4 to -4 1/2 current. His pick STL and all of group agrees - 2 1/2 at home with the Rams was very smart move on our part.

Clearly you have reading comprehension problems, if you'll notice the underlined portion of his post that says,

"We all as group jumped on this line at -2 1/2 before it hit -3 at Ceasars, also SouthPoint and Mirage"

seems like he pounced on a better line.

Better luck trolling next time

At least he always posts before the game starts, and takes accurate record of wins/losses..... Let me guess, tonight your gonna win with a play, and call it your 7 or 8 in a row..

I think Mr. Harry probably drank too much whiskey or type in the wrong key.

I don't doubt Harry and his group played this game early at -2.5. But that doesn't help the board RIGHT NOW. Would be nice if he included his and his group's thoughts on playing the Rams at -4.5 to -6? Not saying we want to play Rams but would be nice to hear his thoughts on the current line as the 2.5 serves no purpose for those debating playing the current available line?

Does it really matter? The last play I posted, I told what line I got and explained that at the present available line I would still play it, and I still get bashed for it by a 500 post guy who supposedly has 9 wins in a row...OR SO......it really serves no purpose here to be honest with the lines you get......all it does is get you bashed. Harry the Hat will learn just like I have this year, where my local for the 1st time is moving them crazy with the money. I'll not be honest here again.....that's a promise. Torpedemo can fuck off.....

I enjoy reading MHTH's write ups...but I agree..nobody is giving or getting 2.5 points..would be nice to hear the group's thoughts on lines that the majority of us have available. Regardless, Good luck Harry @ - 2.5

Red...

I have never had a problem with how you post. You are completely honest and straight forward. You always tell us your line you got (better or worse) and always mention if you bought a half a point or 1 point over a key number. You also always mention your thoughts on the current available line if it differs from yours. You have always been straight up. Whoever says anything different must have an axe to grind with you. Would have liked to see Harry share his thoughts like you do on your plays.

This is going to be a great football game. I would like to convey a thought to you, "opening line bets" from my own experience betting at books here in Nevada with my favorite mentor and best friend J.J. . Line opener really comes from Great Guru of the line Jeff Sagarin, Mr. Stats & Mr. computer & and most important a Mr.Wall Street Broker. I am going to use this game as an example. Rams really opened at -2 went -2 1/2 on Sunday night after NFL games were played Monday AM .These opening lines do not stay on betting board long my friends, if you snooze you lose making your bet on the opener/ LOL !!. This is really the line -2 1/2 [ other NFL games you might see take real big jump sometimes. This line stays open for select few, Whales and sharpies and little old man smoking his pipe at the front seat, 20 big giant steps from the betting window and the odds board will also make his move. We as our group call these Type of gambler as" minute men". Remember this opening line is not up that long in every book in the state. The big books will adjust the line on what they see percentage bets made on either team in that short of time. In our modern technology and communications not like the old era of sports betting, Every book in the state will adjust the opening line as country second quicker then N.Y.minute.

Totally agree, worthless to post some great line you got early in the week when the final line was 6. No value.
