St. Louis at Washington. Need a little insight from fellow RXers

Cards are -176

Why is the line so low? Am I missing something here?

When I first saw Washington scratched Zimmerman and are starting Balester, I though the line would be around -250 to -275. This is considering Balester just got brought up from the minors. His numbers in the minors, although he had a good last start, are not that impressive. Wainwright is going for St. Louis, and is having a good year. Cards are overall a FAR better team - Wash is the worst team in MLB.

Any thoughts on this one? I'm about to dump the remaining balance in my account on the Cards ML unless someone can give me a good reason not to.

I got it at -150 when it opened. I agree with you, Capernter is the Ace of the Cards staff, Nationals have just won a series so I excpet a big fall out. -176, I would take, I would even think about playing the RL

Do agree if you make the play go with the RL but in Hookemhorns case i would go with the moneyline if dumping whats left in your account on the game!

I just dumped all of my account on the Cards, and played a small parlay on Cards ML and Pitt/Arizona under 7.5

Hopefully this isn't the end of my betting baseball season.

No worries.

Cards is a little over 6 units, and 1 unit on the Cards and Pitt/Zona under 7.5 parlay

I'm a firm believer in money management. Therefore, I strictly bet one unit per play and never bet on teasers or parlays.
And I try not to chase.

However, I'm breaking all of the rules tonight. I lost my ass last night so hoping to get back on track by letting my balls hang out tonight. It's either going to be really good or really bad.
