thanks dude, like i said, im just laying low.. playing a few and not saying much.. in regards to barry, the big lead in regards to the pennant race would be the best answer, however in faithfully watching almost every braves game for many years,, they are stubborn with their pitching staff.. I doubt they would have ever walked him intentionally with the bases empty.. Maybe pitched around him.. However im in agreement that, id never let the best player on the opposing team beat me.. In that case it was Barry, about 2 weeks ago it was Albert Pujols, remember when Smoltzie gave it up..

I am in complete agreement with you regarding the large lead down the stretch can explain a lot. I was wondering why they didn't pitch Smoltz in the first game of the series. Maybe they're tring to rest him.

the braves can afford to already start resting players, this is why Marcus Giles wasnt rushed back into the lineup.. Blanco is playing a little more, you will see more of Darren Bragg,, this is old hat for the braves.. However in regards to tonight's game,, we have had 2 different Greg Maddux's this year,, he could be good or he could be bad.. I would not, would not bet against the braves tonight or play the under.. The Braves big bats at Coors could score 12 by themselves, in fact i am going to bet the over 11.5 myself. Maddux is 4-0 at coors but his era is over 6 there.. Jennings could get lit up as well and should.. Dont let me take you off the under but i am going to add this over.. Im through giving advise, usually when i do -- it backfires..

One of my rules that I've been neglecting lately has been to back off insconsistency whether it is in batting or pitching, unless I really feel strongly about a game. I think I will back off this one since it is the first game of the series and since we don't know which Maddux will show up. I can always bet on tomorrow's game. I think I'll have a better idea of whether Atlanta has backed off their bats.
