Finally a comfortable win last night. Full schedule of games tonight. Here is what I have thus far....
Orlando/Philadelphia Under 190.5 2 Units
Two above average defenses here, as both rank in the top 10 in defensive FG%. Orlando ranks 4th best, Philly 10th. Both also rank in the top 10 in ppg allowed. Philly has really been playing some low scoring games lately, as none of their past 3 games have gone over 180. Their offense just seems bad at times, as they can go on long scoring droughts. I would expect Orlando to struggle some offensively, as Jameer Nelson is out injured. Have never been a huge fan of Anthony Johnson, who will start in his place. These two played once already this season, a game that combined for only 186 total points. I expect a similar result this time around.
Indiana/Houston Under 193.5 2 Units
Although Houston has slipped a little recently on the defensive end, I feel they are one of the top defensive teams in the NBA. They are currently 7th in the league in defensive FG%. Indiana is right behind them, ranking 8th. Rockets are ranked 2nd in the NBA in ppg allowed, giving up only 90.5 ppg. Rockets generally play better defense at home, where their games are usually lower scoring. It helps that the Rockets have one of their best scorers out tonight, as T-Mac will sit this one out. Also helps that they should be getting their best defensive player back, Shane Battier. I think this one stays under.
More to come later....
