YTD 29-28, -5.75 Units
Started off the week with a victory yesterday. Goal this week is the same as last week, to finish with a winning week. Full schedule tonight, full card for me. Running late, so brief writeups....
Washington/New Jersey Over 205.5 1.5 Units
Two defenses that are in the bottom 10 in the league in defensive FG%. Wizards cannot defend anyone, allowing over 100 points in each of their past 5 games. Nets should have no problem scoring 100+ here. They have been playing very well lately, scoring over 105 in 5 of their past 6 games. Hoping the Wiz can score the ball tonight. I think they have a real chance to get to 100+. Nets give up over 104 ppg on 46% from the field. Could be a game where both squads reach 100.
Los Angeles/Dallas under 198 1.5 Units
Clippers suck. They can put up 90 or under on any given night. They are without Kaman and Ricky Davis tonight. May also be without Camby and Eric Gordon. Mavs actually have a solid defense, allowing only 42% from the field. Hoping the Mavs are still without Josh Howard. None of the past 6 meetings between these two have gone over this number. All have gone under. Don't see a change tonight.
Philadelphia 76ers +1.10 1.5 Units
Played these 76ers in a similar spot earlier in the season when they looked awful a night before they went up to Toronto and won outright. Same thoughts for me tonight. Sixers been awful, however they are much better than what they have shown. They blew a home game to these Bulls last game, as they had a horrid 3Q. I think they get some revenge tonight. Sixers are the better team. They get a much needed win tonight.
Toronto Raptors +5 1.5 Units
I like this Raps team. Was really impressed with them when I watched them in person. They have a huge frontline, with a great scorer in Bosh. Very good outside shooting, as well as very good FT shooting. Very good point guard play. O'Neal is expected to return tonight. Still not sold on Denver, although they have been playing great since Billups showed up. I think Toronto is the better team here. In a game where they can get the outright win, I will take Toronto plus the points.
May have a play on the late game between Utah/Sacramento, however will wait until closer to gametime to make a decision.
Best of luck to all!
