YTD 17-13, 57%, +3.65 Units

Coming off of a 4-0 sweep a few nights ago. Could not get to a computer in time for last night's games, so took the day off. Full schedule tonight, 5 plays so far....

Charlotte Bobcats +4 2 Units

Have often spoke about how I do not like playing the Jazz on the road, as they are just about average away from home. Going to play that angle again, especially now since they are so shorthanded. Okur is out, still in Turkey dealing with a family emergency. Both Deron Williams and Kirilenko missed the morning shootaround and are not expected to play. Even though J Rich will miss for Charlotte, I feel the Bobcats have the advantage here. Even at full strength, the Jazz have lost their last two visits in Charlotte. Going to fade a bad road team, who is extremely shorthanded.

Oklahoma City Thunder +8.5 2 Units

Not sure the Knicks deserve to be this big of a favorite against anybody. They are much improved, however nothing special. They are still horrid defensively, allowing a league worst 49% from the field. Thunder get Durant back for this one. They should be able to score the ball against this defenseless Knick team. When you break down these two rosters, man by man, I'm not so sure I wouldn't rather have the roster of the Thunder. The Thunder won both meetings between these two last sesaon. Going to take the better defense here, getting a bunch of points. This one should be much closer than most people think.

More coming later....

Adding....

Adding the following:

Portland Trailblazers +7 1 Unit
Portland Trailblazers TT Over 92 1 Unit

Everyone knows by now how I feel about this Portland team. In my opinion, they are one of the most talented teams in the West. Like Hornets, but they have very little depth. Portland much deeper. Going to break this up into two plays due to the fact that Portland got blown out twice last season in New Orleans. Think Portland will find their way over 92, just hoping they do not allow too many more to New Orleans. Blazers have only gone under 92 points once, opening night at the Lakers. See no reason they can't top 92 here and keep this one close.

Dallas Mavericks -1.5 2 Units

I have often spoke about how I feel the Mavs will regress this season. Have been correct thus far. With that being said, they still deserve to be larger favorites in this spot. Although Orlando has been playing well, they are nothing more than an above average team. Not elite. After the last Dallas loss, Carlisle questioned his team's toughness and their will to win. I think we will see a spirited Mavs team tonight. Although it is real early, this is a big game for them. I cannot remember the last time Orlando won in Dallas. Going to take advantage of the low line here and lay the point and a half.

Sacramento Kings +3.5 1 Unit

Kings been playing suprisingly good ball, even competetive without leading scorer K Mart. They catch a real break tonight, as the Suns will be without Nash, Barnes, and Barbosa. Kings always tough at Arco. Going to keep this small due to the fact that I missed the best of this line.

Best of luck tonight fellas!

WOW, should have had that backdoor cover in the thunder game except for some reason they run a play after a timeout in which they throw the ball off the backboard to robert swift

3-3 on the Night....

Well Jazz struggled once again on the road. Had a feeling they would lose this one, as they were so shorthanded.

Almost caught a backdoor cover with the Thunder. Did not watch any of the game, but by the looks of it, the 1Q killed that one. Thunder actually won quarters 2-4 by 7 points. They just got done in by that terrible first quarter.

Portland once again covered for us, yet did not score as much as I thought they would. Split there.

Mavs was the one that really hurt. They were in control all game long, played with the lead nearly the entire game. Orlando had a great comeback, outscoring the Mavs by 10 in the 4Q. Mavs are bad, very bad. My fault for playing on a bad team. Was the wrong call, but still had a very good chance to win.

Thankfully we got a second half comeback by the Kings. They lost the game, but covered the spread. Regardless of what number you got in at, they covered.

So ended up the day at 3-3, -1.5 Units. Unfortunately went 2-1 on the 1 unit plays, but 1-2 on the 2 unit plays.

I should have something for tomorrow. See you then....
