Sportsbook sent me 2 dupicate checks, what do I do?

Funny how the ethics are like a revolving door @ the Rx with these types of threads.

Since its an admittedly "smaller amount" I keep wondering what the price is to buy this guy.

if you deposit both of them, it will take some time for your bank to get the money from the bank the checks were written from...

it could be a month or two down the road, IF they catch the mistake they will get their money back...

the only way around this would be to find a check cashing place to cash the checks for you, even then the chech cashing place will hunt you down if one of those checks comes back a month or two from now.

call the book, tell them the deal... maybe you'll be rewarded for your honesty.

There's ZERO chance he gets rewarded for his honesty. He's closing his account, he's lucky the book is paying him at all.

oh you never know, if the processing company screwed up by sending one guy two checks, they are probably making other mistakes... the book may just throw out a bone to the customers that give a shit since it may end up saving them $1000's

1) cash both checks, say nothing, keep all the $$$$
2) cash both checks, say nothing, keep 1/2 the $$, book takes back other 1/2
3) cash one check, tell the book, keep 1/2 the $$ and get a toke
4) cash one check, tell the book, keep 1/2 the $$ get no toke
5) cash both checks, say nothing, book takes it all back, get ZERO

cash both checks and say nothing:

33% chance u keep it all
33% chance u keep 1/2
33% chance u get zero

cash one check, tell book:

100% chance you keep 1/2
50% chance you get rewarded
50% chance you get no reward
