Forgi when you send cash e-mail them when sent and they put the money in your account faster. Customer service wise , e-mailing is better.

Value wise there is no place better on the planet.

To be fair... we have to mention that Betfair WILL NEVER GO BROKE and WILL PAY ANY AMOUNT....

BUT...their CS definitly can't be compared to the CS-departement of Carib, BG or even Intertops. They are an exchange, the best of it's type, not more, not less...but like Every Pokerroom on the net they take their rake down and DON'T care about the customers as much as a real book...

If I will be banned for speaking the truth, so let it be. What am I supposed to do? Shake frightened? Or maybe I should just kiss Ken's ass as well.

I have no ulterior motives, JJ. Most MODERATORS know who I am. They know I have NO agenda.

If you feel like calling me whatever you want, go right ahead. If they wanna ban me based on calling you out on your stupidity, then let it be so.

But you'll never find traces of somebody else's shit on my lips. Never.

So you know and to make it clear to the rest of the readers, I'm not insulting you. The term "troll" actually exists, very soon they'll put YOUR picture right next to the definition in the dictionary.

Banned is a big word for you JJ. I don't think you should be throwing it around lightly since you are the one on probation.

SBR took the time to rate 600+ sportsbooks and casinos. I applaud that effort.

At the same time I really question the ratings, particularly at the top.

They graded 6 books with the two highest ratings of "A+" and "A".

Which collection of books is better in your eyes?

His A+ books - Bet365USA, VIP, WWTS

Or

His A books - Canbet, Olympic, Pinnacle

??????????????????????????????????????????

The question is so easy to answer in my mind, just want to see if the posters here agree....

.

These ratings are primarily financial ratings (basically safety), not functionality ratings. As such, the six books you mentioned are probably ranked correctly. Having said that, I use Canbet, Pinnacle, and Olympic far more than I use the other three.

There are a number of other books, especially obscure and/or European books that I have some knowledge of, that are out of whack with regards to their rankings.

For example, any European bettor knows that if SSP is ranked a D, and Fonbet is ranked an F, that there is something wrong. SSP, although domiciled in England, is by-and-large a deposit only shoppe.

Halifax... i'm a long time Euro Sportsbettor... and have heard SO much complaints about ssp, that i don't even think about posting up...but you're more than right on fonbet...the BIGGEST russian shop is down on an F because of lack of regulation... WHAT A JOKE! you deal with curacao and belize and think russia isn't regulated... so let it be...

I do agree though his ratings are biased and why is that? Very simple he is an agent for books he touts and the European cheap bastards don't pay as much commision as the American owned books. If you go through his site and sign up at a book he gets a percentage of your losses.

The books always rob these guys though because the only one who knows the true numbers are the guys behind the book and they never pay what they are supposed to when they do not have to.

I have had an account with Expekt for about 10 months.

I have had no problems whatsoever except for:

1. Relatively low limits.
2. The 2.5% fee they charge on Visa deposits.
3. The fact that I can't win there if my life depended on it.

Frankie...

Nice comment BUT

You know and I know that ANY Euro-book is as solid as the A-rated on SBR... but they're paying SO much taxes that their lines aren't really competitive except of the betting exchanges... so what to do?

post up with the 100% solid austrian 40 - 60 cent-line book?

post up with the 80% solid 30 - 40 cent uk book?

post up with the 70% solid 25 - 35 book from malta?

post up with the 130% solid 40 - 80 cent german book?

or get with betfair and hope volume is high enough on your event?

BTW... the security-percentages are meant in BANKING TERMS....

money at a german book for me is like a AA Bond, in Austria like a A Bond...

and @halifax...

sure Expekt isn't perfect...had some Limit-Issues with them too, especially in Swiss Soccer...but american bettors need to think about europe...IT IS SAFER...

If you're so sure about the high volumes JJ... bring me a thousand players willing to post up 2k each to a betting exchange and i'll secure the post up by either UBS or CS founding a swiss holding...
but DONT THINK YOU KNOW BRITISH!
THEY ARE DEFINITLY DIFFERENT!

I just cannot understand how they get this volume and other exchanges are medicore at best???

I do see a positive upward trend in e-horse though on their exchange with the ponies.I am starting to play there more because of it.

the reason for the high volume is that british people trust them and have easy payment methods...and british are the inventors of gambling i think... much easier in england to get down a bet on Chelsea than buy an ounce of grass...

JJ gold is correct about the large volume at Betfair. I can't comment on the horse racing but I recall placing a bet on ManUtd. vs Everton soccer match last year.

There were 50+ markets available. I placed an outright bet on the match about an hour before the start. The total matched on that one market was in excess of £1,000,000.

Apparently a significant % of the money doesn't come in until after kick-off when the betting continues "in-running" during the match. Consider that the gambling model for betting exchanges ensures that the betting exchange cannot lose on the match as they take 5% of the winnings on each bet and therefore profit regardless of which side wins.

The amount that site is making is phenomenal. This bookmaking model, based on action, reduces the risk of the book going out of business as they profit regardless of the match outcome. Also improved prices are usually available to punters making it a win/win situation.

Jack on Saturdays UK horseracing averages 500,000 per race us dollars!!!!\

Weekdays about 175,000 per race being a low average but many get 350,000 per race on a given day.

Also the leader in US horseracing on exchanges by about more than 8x what ehorse gets per race.
