you cant tell by the hits on the website how much is bet. I would think that BETONSPORTS takes lower overall size bets than lets say PINNY or OLYMPIC, but they more than make up for it in number of bets.

Go to this link http://www.metricsmarket.com and type in any URl you chose, and it will tell you how many hits a website gets in a month. BETONSPORTS is by far #1 in hits of any book on SBR, you would be surprised at some of the books that get low hits, like Grande, BETCRIS, 5dimes, to name a few.

PS.
Just because BETONSPORTS is big, does not make them the best, far from it.
I would not recomend them.

Just did a new search on the books that made the top 10 the last time a did this, and came up with new results. PINNY had a huge month with almost 1 million hits in the last month, and Bet on Sports is down a little since last check.

We must not be talking about the same book. I logged on to their "demo" mode and it showed 1500 V-chips. So I sent them an email and they answered that "yes" they use V-chips in the sportsbook.

No, same book.

Up until a few months ago, you used to have to purchase "V-Chips" (when you made a deposit), and then transfer the V-Chips to the sportsbook. For some reason, I think they thought that this extra layer between the depositing and the actual gambling was beneficial legally - possibly a way to make it look like the credit card deposits weren't funding gambling, but rather were purchasing an online currency ... V-Chips.

Anyhow, a few months ago they did away with this extra step of buying V-Chips, and then transferring the V-Chips to the sportsbook. Now, your deposits go directly into the sportsbook.

I think for legal reasons they may still call them V-Chips, though, although the term "V-Chips", for all intents and purposes, is really meaningless.

Sportsbook.com is celebrating our 8th football season online since our launch in 1997. Sportsbook.com has experienced exponential growth, having taken over $8 billion in Sports and Casino Wagers since we opened our doors. This year we will accept over $3 billion in wagers. Tens of thousands of winning wagers are created daily for the 900,000 people that have joined our website. In July of 2001, Sportsbook.com was acquired by Sportingbet, a UK company which is publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange, for $204 million. Combined, Sportsbook.com and Sportingbet easily form the world's largest internet gaming company and one of the internet's most profitable companies. The acquisition has provided for added transparency and accountability to Sportsbook.com customers and thus provides more safety and security for our customers. Our business is audited by BDO Stoy Hayward, one of the largest auditing firms in London, and our accounts are published quarterly on the London Exchange. We encourage you to take a look around and truly hope you enjoy your experience. [/font]

sportsinteraction.com biggest by far

SIA, per their own admission (website you've linked to) have written over 50 million tickets since 1997 (8-year span), which equates to 6.25 million annually.

Pinnacle wrote per documented ticket numbers recorded last season close to 13.5 million annually...107 million to SIA's 50 million...57 million MORE over the same time-frame!

FACTPinnacle Sports does OVER TWICE the annual VOLUME as SIA. <!--emo&B)-->

Moreover, the VOLUME difference isn't even close to the TOTAL DOLLAR DIFFERENCE, which Pinnacle sports a HUGE TOTAL over the low limit SIA. <!--emo&-->

Prove enough? (Insomniac)

I have to agree with Insomniac on this one.

Sportsbook.com is not pinny, but still a good online book. Heaven help anyone that has to call in a bet, for their writers are horrendous. Solid pay, good promos, and slow to move basketball lines...especially overnight lines (but $500 limit on overnights).

It would be nice to see them hang a banner at rx for many members are giving them plenty of action.

well here's a story from one of our posters at another site. He was told about a baseball contest they had and joined thanks to a friend who turned him on to the site.

Seems like he finished second and won a "dime". Although he has emailed and called them, they are still "verifying" his win and won't credit him the money. This is a week after he finished second. I'll let you know what happens.

I've been using them and had no problem getting payed. They advertise at Paradise Poker because they are "linked" to them. You can transfer moeny between the two sites within seconds. Best part is, you can get a bonus at Sportsbook which PP won't give you and still play at PP. If you've had an account at PP, and sign up for a Sportsbook acount, they give you a new account that is similar to the one at PP. If for example you've used your PP account to play in their million dollar tourney for FREE, if you open a Sportsbook account, you get another entry for a free tournament at PP.

They still use those V-Chips as far as I know, as that's the way my account reads. The big joke is that they closed off cash outs for this week and they just became available today. They must be owned by another site, or owns another site like Bet USA because they use those V-Chips also. Check it out!

Metric Site

William Hill had 1.6 million hits which was more than Pinnacle,Sportsbook.com and Olympic combined.

You had The RX at 719K and MW at 624K so the Shrink and Roxy Girl saga's really helped out over the last 30 days providing hits.

Sportsbook.com is owned by those two rich dudes, both US fugitives for illegal gambling operation. One of them went back to the states to stand trial, not sure what the results are.

They own a ton of other smaller sites, also all v-chip sites (though that may have changed). These are all the EFS Carribean sites.

Not sure what happened with the trial. Their lines are all square, limits small, few props, but they do offer a lot of reup bonuses to attrack the typical square.

Most aren't "Wanted Fugitives" but have felony records in the states from the 80s for what they now do off shore without a problem locally.

I think it was the old Big Jule or JK ad , schedules before Don Best, that said "Never trust anyone who hasn't had their door broken down". Very true!
