so i had a friend who wanted to bet the giants ml for the sb, he gave me cash and asked me to bet it there for him. i did and he obviously won. i paid him out and told him id just keep the cash in sb and play around with it. so i doubled up the account from the balance after his superbowl bet and im not cashing out the amount i paid him and leaving my profits in there to play with. requested payment via check, i know they havent been fast in the past, but hoping for the best and see a time line in here.

You should mention the amount. Otherwise, it doesn't help very much.

Why would you deposit it there? Just because he asked you? If he said shoot me in the face would you do that?

No shit.

Reminds me of the people who bought 400k houses making 50K a year just because the banks said they could.

i really only play at bookmaker these days, but my sportsbook account was still active. He use to play at sb a few years back too, but none of his stuff if up to date. i told him id place the bet on my account and then he could withdraw. once they won and he decided he was going to withdraw i decided i wanted to play around with the nba props they offer. i offered to buy the account off him. He got paid immediatly, but i said if they fought me over the payout down the line, he would owe me the money. He was fine with that. ive doubled the account since the sb and now have requested a check for what i paid him. seemed like win win, but we shall see.

did u read my first post murph?
i did read ur first post BUT u should have bet it at a more legitimate book.. afterall that wasnt even the best odds for the giants... but its all good man.. just bad choice on ur part is all.

hope they pay u though since u already paid ur friend... imo since he asked u to place the bet there he should have had to wait on the payout ... all the same ;)

did you read post 10 lol

i am protected for the original investment. i paid my friend and requested that amount from them now. if they pay great, if not, my friend knows he owes me the money back. the only way i was out money is if i pissed away the account or any possible profits i make down the line. its basically only my time at risk, none of my starting cash

kidman, hopefully it all works out so it's not a big deal, but I believe Murphys point was, why not place that bet in a more stable book.. who cares he use to have a SB account... you could of done it at any book just as easily. still, hopefully all this doesn't matter and you get paid quickly

not really just as easily. It was kind of a last minute thing. Would have to open an account with a new book, file all the paper work, figure out which book was convient at the time to deposit. etc etc . like i have said, i could have just put in his withdraw request and let the chips fall where they fall at no risk to me. now there was cash in sportsbook, i wanted to play around with their nba props and bought the account off him, with the stipulation of the payout going smoothly. He agreed, got his money instantly and i got to play around with the props. worse comes to worse, he gets an interest free loan from me for a few weeks if they dont pay. I am really at no risk in this situation

ive never been one for money gram and at most books u have to fax or email in license (proof of age) and a bill (proof of addy) etc. again this is not my money at risk. i would have never deposited at sportsbook to make my own bets. the oppertunity arose for risk free to play props there and i took it. the purpose of this thread was to clock how long it took for a payout if at all. not to argue or suggest that the funds should have gone to another book
