Well what can I say...we got steamrolled. The 3rd down conversions absolutely destroyed our defense. If the Birds could've stopped them on the first 2 drives when they had the Peelers in 2 3rd and 13's MAYBE the offense would've opened up a little more. The Peelers didnt' even have to punt the entire game. We had 23 rushing yards. 9 runs the whole game...we can't win playing that kind of game. Donovan made some horrible throws and some horrible decisions with the football. This team embarrassed me. You can't play this poorly and expect to win on the road (especially against the hottest team in the NFL).
It sickens me that we played this bad...but this team is much better than what they showed on Sunday. The offense was the dagger in the back though. They got away from the gameplan. I don't think they went deep down the field more than 2 times the whole game. Peelers definately whooped us good. Hopefully they realize this is just one game and the Cowgirls aren't half as good as Pitt next week. I feel sorry for Bill Parcells because Andy is pretty good after a loss.
I would vent more but I'm so angry at the way they played yesterday I would just keep blabbering on for hours and I don't think anyone needs to hear it. We stunk..they played great. Not much more to say than that.
We're still 7-1...and with the G-Strings losing to the Bears at home we're still in the drivers seat. We'll see what happens the rest of the season. The Birds should be forced to watch this game tape over and over until it's in their heads how poorly the effort was yesterday. It's unacceptable!

DG I know...I was hoping Illinois would remain winless but it looks like it's do or die against Indiana (I don't put a lot of faith in us winning against Sparty). At least with the Lions I know better than to put any faith in them.
