-Philly needs win to leapfrog from 6th to 3rd in standings, this is there game in hand on the Devils.
-Desjardins & Primeau back in the lineup, although they may be rusty this should offer emotional support to the flyers.
-Flyers have an outstanding record against MTL in history.

-As for the Blues, it is also an important game for them against a detroit team that looked very beatable last night & must be tired as they had to go all out to beat CBUS.....

I have the Flyers tonight too. I think it's a great spot. Not to mention the flu that has been rampant in the Montreal dressing room as well.

Flyers want this one more than the Canadiens. If this game were played three weeks earler, Montreal would easily be favored; my local has the Flyers at -.5 -120, that right there tells me that there is something awry.

I also have Stl in a small play, for my only two plays tonight. (Well, I grabbed Stl +.5 shots vs. Det too. Stl desperate, they'll outshoot Detroit easily. (INTERTOPS))

Edmonton really needs to get in, it would be a great thing for Canadian's if all Canadian Teams were in...

what does that mean, hockey country? most here just like the fights.. I like it because you can bet it.. It would be good for Nashville if the Preds can make it.. Gotta start somewhere.. Seriously, it gets good airtime on the Sports radio talk out of nashville, i listen to the guys some, a lot of the preds games are on sportsouth.. Maybe chicago will lay down for them..

Maybe not everyone here can understand what is about to happen (speaking of hockey country), but it seems as though our Ottawa Senators will meet the Toronto Maple Laughs yet again in the post season. It's almost a done deal.

There are some rivalries in sports, Duke vs. NC, Fla Gators vs. Miami, Sox vs. Yanks, but this rivalry is about as fierce as any, though it doesn't get it's kodus.

2002 -- lost to Toronto, 4-3, Eastern Conf. semifinals

2001 -- lost to Toronto, 4-0, Eastern Conf. quarterfinals

2000 -- lost to Toronto, 4-2, Eastern Conf. quarterfinals

For those looking forward to watching some playoff hockey, be sure to check out this series (if it happens). You'll see hatred, revenge, determination and heart break, all rolled into one.

These two cities are within a four hr drive from one another, and we obviously share the same province. I know more than one person who has gotten into a fight because he was wearing a Maple Leaf hat into some arbitrary Ottawa bar, and vice versa.

Our local radio station sells t-shirts that say: "Leafs Suck" on them, and they advertise them on the radio.

If we don't beat them bums this time around, there are going to be people hanging from the shower rod. Maybe I'm blowing things out of proportion, but this reminds me of the Brookyln vs. Yankees rivalry in the 40's-50's. For those not familar with the number, check out this domination.
