Didn't watch a second of the NFL today. Haven't watched a baseball game in almost a month. Only thing I am excited about is the coming NHL season, the baseball playoffs look like they will be a snooze to me.

My father told me when I was young there would come a day I would burn out on sports because I used to watch anything and everything. Turns out he was right, he watches more sports than me now. Anyone else going through the same thing? I literally can be sitting at home and have action on a game and yet will just follow the score once in awhile on the net or my phone and not even flip on the TV.

Hey Bill, long time without chatting. I'll send you an e-mail sometime. To answer your question....no. I'm not cultured enough to ever get burned out on sports. I enjoy reading books, but that is the only other hobby I have. My attitude is like Coach LT....I only have so many days in my life where I can watch football.

Well if it was my livelihood Fez I probably would love it too. I know plenty of pro gamblers like you and poker players and no doubt the difference between you guys and myself is your utter love for the game. I enjoy the game still, but as time goes on I seem to enjoy the gaming industry and all its angles a lot more than the games itself. David Stern and Paul Tagliabue probably would think I am the anti-Christ.

Illini, hope all is well. Looks like your college football team and mine are in yet another race for the gutter this year.

Well, they have a common opponent in Cal. Somehow, we dominated Cal for a half. Not sure how that happened, because the Illini are clearly not a good team. Washington played ND tougher than the Illini would. Anyone for basketball?

If I don't have money on the games I can relate WildBill...

Baseball playoffs is different, I would watch them either way, as well as any real important event, money on the line is the only way I can watch regular everyday sports at this point....

There are those that love sports and those that scalp/grind it for a living , we're talking about two different animals.
