He did get paid though based on his finish. It’s not like he walked away with $0.
He was robbed of an opportunity to win the million. He paid 10k to join this tournament and because of software issues, he wasn't able to play it how everyone thought they could play it.
I don't think DK will cut him a check for the 700k difference or whatever it was, but he probably deserves some restitution unless they just wanna be dicks about it. Which I doubt they do given the gold mine they've come into.
Where he finished isn't really legitimate because his chances were compromised.
He was robbed the opportunity to make an insanely +EV bet that could've ended with him winning a million dollars. And considering how prominent of a gambler he was, he probably would've had the outs to have huge hedging opportunities as well.
What about this don't you understand?
The $ not being in his account fucked him very badly.
Pats - He also had the opportunity to lose an insanely amount of money had he made a losing play on the last game. DK didn’t have their shit together and he could’ve came in 1st or out of the money depending on the play.
As it is, the guy came in 3rd place and won 330K. Sure, he was prevented from competing for 1st and $1M. He was also prevented from losing everything and not cashing at all.
He’s been quoted saying he didn’t even know if he was going to pull the trigger meaning making a final play.
That’s all. What’s it worth to be prevented from making a final play given he may not have even made the right play?
You might be getting caught up in the amount of the prize pool being 330K is nothing to sneeze over. But in the big picture the prize pool wasn't as important as him getting screwed out of a huge +EV bet and not getting the same opportunity as others.
It’s worth a ton. He lost a lot of equity with that glitch.
Somewhere around 200-500k in equity. And there would be multiple options to realize that equity.
what was the DK NO ML at -400 he gets there but not much more then that :think2:
on the odds page history it's -355 to -425
He mentioned playing an alt line at -5 and the under as well. I don't think the full bankroll would have been on the ML. Everything he potentially would have played ended up winning.
If we believe him haha. He's saying that now but I've also read he was quoted as saying he hadn't decided if he was going to make a play either.
