Now some winners!
Braves +113
The Braves need every win they can get in the fight for home field advantage in the NL and they have expressed that they do not want to travel to SF to face the giants. Ramirez has been dominant lately, the braves won his last three starts and he has pitched well against the Expos anyways going 7 innings deep in all three career starts against them and not giving up more then three runs. Hernandez has been very good in the last ten starts going deep into games and not giving up more then 2-3 runs but the fact that he has struggled with the braves in his career and the bigger need for the braves to win this game makes it easier for me to pull the trigger.
Giants -145
Main reason I am playing this is because of Kurt Rueter's success against the Padres in his career, his teams are 13-2 against the Padres when he starts a game and has always pitched good against them, going 6 innings his last start against the Padres with only giving up one run. Lawrence has been lights out but is 0-5 lifetime against the Giants(well his team is 0-5). Padres not hitting lefties very well last 10 games, only at .200. Giants home record and Padres road record goes in my favor as well. Don't want to play the runline with the home team, never have-never will.
Baltimore +165
The Orioles always seem to play well against the better teams and suck it up against the Tigers of the league. Lopez has had nice success against the Yankess this year, giving up a lot of hits but not many runs. I think the orioles get to Pettite early and get us a nice lead. Pitching has been there for the Orioles and if they can keep it close to get to that Yankess pen I feel they got a better then average shot at beating them.
Athletics -121
They are hitting, they are pitching, they can't be beat right now. Lilly has been amazing lately fighting for that #3 spot in the rotation for the playoffs. His location is awesome and he does a lot better at night then during the day. Angels have thrown in the towel for the season and A's want every win they can get to expend that lead that they have on the Mariners. Ortiz gives up the longball and if there is one thing they A's have throughout the lineup is that they will take pitches(walks) and hit homers which will give them the edge tonight.
