I've been betting hockey for about 13 years now...of course living in Canada there is much more media coverage & information available on TV in regards to Hockey reports. I have developped a few good systems for betting hockey that seem to hit at more than a 50% clip...My plays will often include home dogs or situations where I get the 1/2 puck & the Extra Money.
There is a game in the NHL tonight in which I just love the situation.
BOS @ WASH
1) Boston is no longer as hot as they were at the beginning of year, have only won two of last 10 games.
2) Boston went to overtime last nite in FLA & had to Fly to Washington to meet with the Capitals today. (Must be tired???)
3) Capitals although still $hit are starting to show some signs of life. They Fired Head Coach Bruce Cassidy Yesterday, I saw alot of media reports & I can tell you from what I heard of the players they were not sad to see him go...none of them expressed regret or blamed themselves. He obviously did not gell with the players. I love betting on teams who have just made a major change such as the one in Washington with the head coach. You can bet the boys will be skating tonight & jostling for positions to impress the new coach.
4) Last nite as I was checking the opening line Pinny had WSH at +106 on the ML...as I check now they are -111...(that is a 16cent swing & it is only 1040am as I write this) I dont think the public would move the line that much in an overnight situation which tells me that sharps must be on the game. The puck line opened at +.5 minus 135 but is now +.5 -140 at most shops. One would think that the public would normally be taking Boston in this game against the worst team in the league WSH...why is the line moving towards WSH? who knows...I think it is because Sharp money was on the Caps early
5) J.Jagr & P.Bonra...on any given day these two can be explosive.
i would appreciate thoughts & Feedback on this game...additionally anyone with information on the starting goaltenders would be helpful.
Take the Caps for 2 Units.
