Hey fellas...been awhile since I've posted or been on the Rx for that matter. Been dealing with way too much personal & family struggles over the past 4 or so months. Besides my knee surgery recovery, I've been back home to the Boston area countless times to help out my family. Just got home yesterday actually after being there the past two weeks. My brother lost his fight with pancreatic cancer last Friday night. He had been battling for the past few years but got the bad news the cancer had spread throughout his body over the holidays and was given a few months. The last two weeks of his life was fucking brutal. He couldn't eat and drank very little...the pain was intense. He was a strong big man at 6'3" around 240 lbs....but he basically starved to death. I was pretty pissed that all we could do was to make him as comfortable as possible with pain meds. After he lost consciousness, he lasted another 6 torturous days, wasting away to nothing. He was probably 150 lbs when he died.
On top of that, my niece was hospitalized for cutting herself and having suicidal thoughts and my mom fell over the holidays sustaining a concussion and needing surgery to repair her damaged hip replacement!(when it rains it pours!! lol)
Anyway, sorry to vent! I am trying to get back to a sense of normalcy and enjoy the things I love. I have always enjoyed sports, especially college hoops. I am finally sitting down to watch the tourney and thought I'd chime in over the course of it, since I liked to cap the games as well. As we all learn, life goes by too quick and we need to enjoy ourselves and do the things that make us happy! So here I go getting back into something I enjoy(hearing from and touching base with my friends at the RX is a major part of that!!). GLTA and enjoy the tourney whatever you play!

Holy Cross +14(1st half)
St. Joe's +3.5
Notre Dame -2.5
Texas -4
Stephen Austin/WVU Over 144.5

Well that prioritizes life pretty well Spider. I try to think of these types of overwhelming times of trials as balanced by all the many years that everyone was healthy and feeling happy. We tend to think of those as normal times. I do too. But they are special.

Things will turn. GL

Good to see you post again spidur. I give prayers to you in this difficult time. Know it was written that there are appointed times in our lives when we must pass through these dark valleys. But pass we will. Take comfort in the fact that we are not meant to stay there. The sun will shine on the green fields and mountaintops ahead, and we shall be granted joy and peace through the gift of remembrance.
