Special announcment Sept 23.

It is important for me to make sure that everyone clearly understands the deadlines of the various contests, and that everyone clearly understands the contingency plans in the case of a site outage. It is the responsibility of all Post Up players to make sure they have noted the contingency plans in the case of a site outage, site outage will thus not be a valid excuse for not being able to post plays, as everyone should have the email addresses saved.

It is also important that everyone understands that if a Player decides to take the RISK of waiting till the last minute to post cannot use internet outages, forum outages or email outages as an excuse for not getting their plays in. It is for this reason, that everyone is highly advised to post early and not wait for the deadline.

Here are the contingency plans:

IN THE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY AND YOU CANNOT ACCESS THE FORUM FOR WHATEVER REASON YOU CAN EMAIL YOUR PLAYS, THIS IS STRICTLY UNDER EMERGENCY SITUATIONS IF THE FORUM IS DOWN OR CLOCKING.

ss I have a question here first conerning this statement because it makes no sense to me.

'RX MODERATORS WILL DO THEIR BEST TO POST THE PLAYS AS SOON AS POSTING IS AVAILABLE, BUT CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL BE BEFORE 1PM IF THE FORUM IS DOWN. REMEMBER, THIS IS FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY

If the site is down and I mail the 4 emails you have listed but you guys can't access the forum and post what I sent for whatever reason I'm shit out of luck for that week ?

no no, what I am trying to say, is that if you email before the deadline, and the forum is down, and lets say the forum only comes back up at say 230pm, and the mods emailed only get the games posted by say 3pm (example). Is that the contestants have to trust that the mods will do their best to get the plays emailed posted as early as possible.

Which is why there are three seperate mods receiving emails, JOH, robfunk and wilheim. Again, all only in the case of a site outage.

Ok I get it, it's just hard to understand the way it's written because who cares when you guys post them as long as they count.

If that's about the gist of it then I read and understand the contingency plans, thanks for clarifying SS. Carry on

thanks for re-wording this more clearly, Ill change it, beleive me some people DO CARE when the games are posted, I guess its because those posters beleive that there could be a conspiracy between the mod and the poster, to past post. I woudnt even have added that sentence in there unless it had come up in the past.
