Am I missing something on their NFL odds ??

I think they advertise -107 on NFL, and the Giants-Rams game (at Pick'Em) is just that, -107/-107.

But look what happens on the Moneyline bets as they move just slightly away from Pick'Em:

Pats/Bills -105/-115 20 cent line
Falcons/Cowboys +108/-130 22 cent line
Bucs/Eagles +132/-160 28 cent line

... and it gets worse and worse.

I'm well aware that the spread gets wider as you get further away from Pick'Em, but unless you're betting on a Pick'Em game, you're getting a worse Moneyline price at Canbet than almost any other book. I don't know any Caribbean book that breaks from the 20 cent line in football before -150 / +130 (at the very earliest), yet Canbet has a 22 cent line at +108/-130.

Give me a break ... so much for the low vig. Just because you're in the UK now, you don't have to price your odds like a UK book does.

Do they advertside -107 (14 cents) for moneylines? I thinkt hey just advertise that for spreads and they do give 14 cent lines for spreads though occasionally you'll see -3+100/+3-115 which is 15 cents. Oh the horror.

You'll rarely hear a bad word about cantakeashothereandwe'reforcedtopay.com,

because of all the crooks on the boards.

I don't see where the false advertising is, they offer -107 on sides and that is exactly what they give you. Pinnacle is the book that gives the juice deal on moneylines, not Canbet. This seems like a fairly petty shot at a great book.

Sides are sides amd ML's are something entirely different but I don't like their ML's. So, I guess the best thing to to do is not bet them and stick to the sides!

I was always under the impression that Canbet was always pretty clear on the -107 being for sides only.

Gentlemen:

Here is what it says on their website:

" CANBET are the Price Leaders on all American Sports
we bet to -107 on NFL & NBA
we bet to - 104 on Baseball

Now, nowhere on here does it say "not valid for football moneylines".

In fact, correct me if I'm wrong, but they "bet to -104 on Baseball", and baseball bets are moneyline bets, are they not ?

If they say they "bet to -104 on Baseball" moneylines, why wouldn't it hold that if they say they "bet to -107 on NFL", that this would apply to moneylines ?
-----------------------------------------------

Oilman, of course they're a good book - just not for their football moneylines, which don't live up to what they advertise.

I agree Halifax the % of hold rises at a much higher rate then that of other books.

Also, my connections tell me they are as solid as they used to be.

But when I approached someone else with this he told me they are on the stock exchange and he is confident in them so that is why I still play there.

The guy from the states that runs the place is an asshole.

I agree with you Halifax, it doesn't make the distinction between sides and moneylines on their site. In fact, I went to search out some proof on their website to post how wrong you are and I could not find any. However, a claim of false advertising would indicate that somewhere they state or imply that they offer 14 cent spreads on NFL moneylines, no where could I find that as well.

So, I stand by my comments and still feel that it is petty to make an accusation of false advertising against Canbet based on the fact that their monyline spreads are very much like most other offshores.

Canbet offers reduced juice on NFL, there is no question or dispute about this and there is certainly no FALSE ADVERTISING.

I wouldn't even send Osama Bin Laden's money to this book. They misrepresent themselves with their 7 cent juice crap, when in fact, the hold is shittier than any book out there with their 22 cent lines. And then they don't even offer a bonus because their reason is, our juice is low enough, we can't offer a bonus LOL.. And recently, they are now offering a 20% cash, which sounded great, then when I'd register, they'd tell me it's up to a 100 max bonus, because our lines are so great. I'll never forget that, I didn't know if I should laugh, or slam the phone on their face, so I ended up doing both..

Sick I think you have taken the title away from Old for bonuses. Fvck the bonus... Do they pay? Does the 107 on nfl and cfb equal much more then a bonus? It does if you plan on keeping the account for the long run and not closing the account once you reached the rollover.

I do bet with them a lot and like to lay the 107 on straight NFL and CFB so I can't complain there. Just the money lines I have a problem with. I also have a hard on for that guy that runs the place.

Last season the best reduced juice out to have for nickel players. Other books are rushing to compete, but Canbet still a very good out.

To me, I could care less about the bonus here, and that is ONLY if they kept their end of the bargain. I love the moneylines, and if a book is going to state that they are going to have a -107 both ways, or a 14 cent line, then they have NO right making up lines of -130/+108. This is bogus.. If you don't want to offer me a bonus, fine with me, but give me what Pinnacle gives me, and that is -130/+120, or even -130/+116, which is what is advertised, but don't give me a -130/+108. Plus, Pinnacle offers the 10 cent moneyline, and a bonus to boot. Canbet offers a 22 cent line and NO bonus.. I have nothing wrong with no bonus offer, but what I do have an issue with here is their false advertising and their crappy 22 cent line.

Fine Sick you don't care about the bonus, but why bust Canbet's balls for not being as good as Pinnacle for moneylines? Let's face it, there are no books out there currently that can compare to Pinny's offerings, but Canbet gives you -107 on sides and totals and that's better than a whole lot of books.

IMO, Pinnacle and WSEX are the only MUST have books, but if your into doing a little shopping, it would be a big mistake to leave out Canbet.

Ok fine, you're right, I'll give them that. If they are really offering -107 on all sides and totals, then yes, kudos to them. If you would bet 8 games a week for the NFL season for 1 dime apiece, and win 50% of your games, you will save roughly 2,500 dollars in juice for the 18+ weeks, over the laying -110. So I'll give em that. But then again, Pinny offers -105 each way and throws you a 10% cash bonus your way. So where would you rather play? Mind you, it's still good to have both, just in case you get something like you want Dallas -4.5-105 at Pinnacle, and out of nowhwere, you find Dallas -4-107 at Canbet. Of course you will lay the -107 and take it at Canbet. It's always good to have a wide variety of books to look at..
