Anyone who has made a play on this game or is going to, please give me your reasoning behind your choices. My goal here is to educate myself by laying aside my biases and listening to the vantage points of others in this forum, especially to those much wiser than myself. I'm curious to see which way people in here are going to bet and why....

im going to avoid responding with my own opinions or beliefs, and simply say thanks to everyone who posts a play and opinion. I really look forward to reading these comments as I believe this is a monumental game for two conferences and more than just the two teams involved. It should also help me decide whether or not I'm going to wager on this game. Keep it clasy

thanks gents!

Thankyou)(&

I'm on the Ducks + 3 1/2.... hedged some of my action on this game in Vegas 2 weeks ago with Mich St- 2 1/2....If Adams makes good decisions, I believe the Ducks are to explosive for Sparty... The defense is a concern but most teams can't out score us....a stop here and there should be good enough....Some are concerned that this is just Adams 2nd game...I might be to if he was a freshmen....He's not, he's a senior.....if this game was later in the year I might be worried about the weather to slow down the offense.. If the line goes up I will gladly grab more at +4 & 4 1/2... Ducks roll 41-24

all over sparty...was on sparty last year and felt good about it till the duck hurricane hit..last year, marcus saved them..this year hes gone and i really dont trust the duck defense against cook and co.
imo, sparty got this game circled and without heisman winner and with home field i see this as a 10 point win

I'm playing #5 Michigan State -3.5 against #7 Oregon.

I believe MSU is the better team. I like the home field advantage. I like the revenge factor. I like the
Spartan defensive front seven shutting down the run thus forcing the Ducks new QB to beat them passing.
If Oregon can't run the ball, the front seven will come after Adams. This will be the best defense the kid has
ever faced.

Michigan State will score on Oregon's defense...my worry is MSU's secondary which ain't the strength of the
defense. If Adams gets time and gets a hot hand passing...well, should be one hell of a game.

I think home field will be huge for sparty's defense (especially early). I've only seen full game lines , but if the first half total is in the mid 30's , i like 1st half under.

I I can't argue with your reasoning at all, very well thought out.

I am on Under 66.5

I think way to much was made about the way E Washington was able to throw the ball against the Oregon defense, E Washington is a passing team and have proven they can throw the the ball against anyone including PAC12 teams, Adams faced two PAC12 teams while at E Washington and threw for over 400 yards in each game including 7 touchdown passes against Washington last year. While neither defense had much to brag about last week I think both will make big strides this week. Go Ducks!

Org+170 is tempting, I think msu defense misses narduzzi bad.
Home field & revenge factor has me scared as east lansing will be crazy.
Biggest non conf game there in a really long time. Toss up game, should be a helluva game.

I'm a homer / big Spartan fan, and I took them Sunday at a PK. At -3.5, this would probably be a no bet for me. Think it's going to be a good one, with lots of points being scored!

I think MSU has the ability to use the osu blueprint to beat the ducks, win the time of possession. If they keep the ducks off the field they cant score. Western Michigan could not run the ball on msu but they did throw it for over 350 which should be a problem this week for msu facing the ducks. I wont touch this one, but with a gun to me head, give me the ducks +3.5. Final score MSU 37 - Oregon 34..

Keep an eye on msu rb true freshman LJ Scott.. he will be a good one, reminds me a lot of Le'Veon Bell

Few interesting things I heard last night on local Ducks TV show about how much this years Oregon team compares to last years team.

Only one starter in E Washington game started in last years opener against S Dakota, Dwayne Stanford.

All front seven starters in E Washington game were seniors while one CB and safety were true freshman.
