Spanish Grand Prix wrap-up. It could have been a disastrous day quite frankly but ended up 1-4 (-3.00 Units). This is a hard circuit to pass on. Vettel started 3rd and made an aggressive move on the start. Bottas, on the pole, had a less than stellar start and Vettel came up alongside him on the left. However, Bottas recovered enough and Vettel had to break hard due to his speed and flat spotted his tire, essentially ending any chance to win the race. It almost cost the H2H play against Leclerc as well. At one point Ferrari ordered Vettel to let by LeClerc. Thankfully the team ran different pit strategies and later Vettel was faster and the team ordered LeClerc to let Vettel by. So won 2 units instead of losing 6. I got away with it, but it is why I rarely bet favorites in these match-ups.
Raikkonen went off deep into the gravel on the first lap but somehow did not damage his car. Gio was ahead but gave it back. So close to nailing a +410 dog, yet so far.
Norris somehow lost 6 spots on the start. I never did see what happened, but that is ridiculous. I felt great about this play, in fact almost doubled it but held off. He was battling back when of all other cars who does he have a run-in with trying to pass? Yeah, my other driver, Stroll, and they both are taken out of the race. Sickening. Stroll would have beaten Perez, which was +225.
Could have been a great day, could have been a disaster. I will deal with the small loss of 3 Units. Back on Memorial Day at Monaco, another tight circuit, in the early morning from the USA. And a disgustingly wealthy city.
