1-0 YTD as the Hogs came through with an impressive upset of Texas last week.
Pittsburgh @ Toledo +10.5
I truly believe Pitt's walking into a buzzsaw in this one. The Glass Bowl will be packed with a near record crowd to see the highest ranked team ever to play in their stadium.
Rockets' QB Gradkowski has completed over 60% of his passes with 7 TD's vs. no picks against better competition than Pitt's faced, (UNLV, Marshall), and can pull it down and run with it as well.(122 rush Yd., 3 GP)
Toledo boasts a huge, experienced offensive line, and three cat-quick running backs, led by Trinity Dawson, who's led the team to 186 YPG on the ground.
I will admit, the defense scares me a bit, but the Rockets' strength is the secondary, led by excellent safeties, who should help slow down Fitzgerald and Co. just a bit.
Toledo doesn't get much pass rush, but they do make big plays, as evidenced by 29 TFL's and 10 forced TO's in three games.
The Panthers, although winning by three TD's, did not play a complete game last week, letting Ball St.(!) stay in the game through the first half, at home. If they start slowly again, and the Rockets avoid turning the ball over, Toledo could become the media's newest favorite MAC milking teat, and Pitt may go down as just another overhyped wannabe.
Also playing Toledo ML (+350) for .25 Units.
Good luck,
Space.
