What about Yankees dude? Masterson does have an impressive era, but he's by far no Johnny "The Wad" Holmes in the talent pool. If Masterson was that stud, the Red Sox wouldn't have traded him to rent Victor Martinez, while maintaining Veritek, And Ortiz. But then again, Theo Epstein did buy stellar gunslingers like Dice-K, and the server of the year thus far in John Lackey so maybe the Red Sox can't recognize hurlers. Matt Clemont anyone?
Line moving in Yankees direction from opening numbers. From top to bottom, Yankees lineup dwarfs that of the smokescreen Indians thus far. IMO, oddsmakers mucked up basing the line solely off Masterson, a Red Sox throw away with whom if they felt he had nuts to walk like a champ would still be in Boston masturbating to Tom Brady. In other words, Red Sox wouldn't release anything that could help them beat the Yankees.
Just my 2-3 cents though.
