It sure seems that when guys say to "unload" on a play or use all caps " WHOOP ASS", in their posts, those plays seem to lose way more than they win. I didn't like the way Cornell closed the 1st half and got greedy to try for a middle, but Cornell kept the game relatively close the whole way, and USC never really came close to covering the 2nd half. Their leading scorer, Stewart was 2-10 from the field, 1-6 from 3 point range and 1-4 from the free throw line. He had 8 rebounds and 4 blocks, but you rarely see a team cover a double digit number when their top scorer has just 6 points.
USC has some talent and they've played very well at times this season. I'm sure Boatright being out has an impact (he was their third leading scorer when he got hurt, don't know if he was a leader of the team in other respects), but watching how the Trojans have approached the last couple of games, the nicest thing you can say about them is that they don't seem very interested in playing against the lesser lights over Christmas break.
