South Carolina coach Will Muschamp: 'Thanksgiving is a meal. It's not a day'

It's been a less-than-stellar season for the South Carolina Gamecocks football team, which is sitting in the middle of the SEC's Eastern Division with an overall record of 6-5 and a conference record of 3-5. And the team's head coach, Will Muschamp, does not appear to be taking his foot off the pedal with their matchup against rivals Clemson Tigers coming up this Saturday.[/FONT]

In an interview with SEC Country's Mike Wilson, Muschamp revealed his preparation plans for the big game — as well as some STRONG words about the Thanksgiving holiday:[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot][FONT=&quot]“We’ve got practice in the morning. ... We’ll be in here early. It’s awesome. Thanksgiving is a meal. It’s not a day. We’re going to have a great meal and then we’re going to watch a little tape, then maybe watch a little more tape.[/FONT][/FONT]
[FONT=&quot][FONT=&quot]“We’ll get our walk-through cards ready for Friday, so it’s going to be awesome.”[/FONT][/FONT]

Probably doesn't have any family to reune with. His Thanksgiving will probably be at Denny's sitting at the counter. What a tool.

Different strokes for different folks. I know people who think of their birthday as just another day. I also know people who need a whole days worth of celebrating their birthday.

What's the issue? They have a game Friday. U prepare as u would. Whatever u do on a Friday for Saturday games u now do on thanksgiving for the Friday game.

The issue is they don't have a game on Friday. They play Saturday. Just sayin'. His comments don't bother me in the least.
