Eh.....still think it's pretty stupid. No recourse on a late scratch doesn't make much sense. My thing is putting my lineup and checking stays a few mins before tipoff. Not really a 4 hour ordeal at all. People that I've spoken to have sent complaints about it but get the same response
Yeah I get that perspective. Cause the average fan sees that Steph Curry was a late scratch and thinks they got screwed.
But that playing field is = for everyone, over time that will even out.
What won't even out is the advantage that the people who follow it for 4 hours have over those who just don't but use it more as a casual hobby. It is a nice advantage to be able to maneuver your lineup after injuries happen. Let's say last night the Dirk news came 45 minutes later, well you could then get Barnes and Barea and even Powell in your lineup and everyone who didn't would be taking the worst of it.
Now there are other advantages that can be had from there being no late swap (mass multi-entering 3 mins after Dirk news w/ new and improved lineups and playing top players in tournament that are GTD's and getting them at only 1-2% ownership come to mind) but overall no late swap is better for most.
