As a Red Sox fan, I'm glad he is going to the NL. I'm also glad the Sox did not sign him, I don't think he will be worth the contract long term.

Phillies rotation has a better chance to stay together over the next 3-4 years than the Giants...it's all about the benjamins.

I wouldn't mind taking Joe Blanton off Phillies hands.... he's a workhorse ....gives you a lot of innings ...and a lot of K's

I think we need another hard throwing lefty to go against the new and improved bo sox lineup.

The Yanks got lucky last year with the Sox being racked by injuries. This year we will not be that lucky.

One good thing is the Rays are not going to be as good as they were last year.

Watch out for Showalter.

also glad he is in the nl. now the red sox only have to find a way to muster 4 wins vs them in the WS should they ever end up meeting....luckily for redsox fans our team has a couple guys in the lineup who can run and play small ball and manufacture runs b/c thats what it would take to beat the phillies in the WS.....guys like crawford and ellsbury getting on and stealing, etc....

think the phils have one of the best 1-4 rotations ever....id like to see them all healthy and dominate for 1 season just to see how ridiculous they could be....

they kind of remind me of the celtics in hoops when they went out and got KG/Allen to go with Pierce none of them had ever won anything before....you have halladay/lee/and oswalt all big time guy who have never won it all....they are gonna be motivated thats for sure.....

The Yanks could get Crazy and offer Andy a 1 year and "Large" amount of money to play one more year.
You never know.......I'm sure that is what they are looking at now.

Still wouldn't mind getting Blanton..... has to be better than AJ
