The New York Giants are closing in on a deal for offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo to be their next head coach, a source told ESPN's Dan Graziano.

McAdoo has served as New York's offensive coordinator for the last two years under Tom Coughlin, who resigned earlier this month after 12 years as the Giants' coach.

This was decided the moment he was hired as the OC 2 years ago, and Eli bought in The only question was when. Tom imploded sooner than expected.
The Giants "Coaching search" was a charade.

Owners should be able to hire whomever they want. The "charade" is bringing in applicants you have no intentions of hiring.

I don't think the problem necessarily lies with McAdoo as much as it does with Reese's inconsistency at picking talent. Imo, the Giants will only be as good as their defense which has been horrible the last couple of years.

The defeat, witnessed by Giants co-owner and CEO John Mara as he paced in a suite at Levi's Stadium, puts Giants coach Ben McAdoo's job in jeopardy. McAdoo's ability to lead the team was attacked by anonymous players in a report by ESPN last week, and the Giants, who made mistakes on offense and played soft on defense, appeared to quit on McAdoo again.

shows how underrated, undervalued tom coughlin is. got pushed out of jacksonville...teams did ok then failed. Brought giants up and then got pushed out and look where they're at. I'm a jaguars fan so i'm glad he's back in some form. I credit the success they're having in part to him.
