Ohhh thats really smart - using NE as an example to prove your point! Thats rich Jimmy , I love this guy! NE beating PIT the second time was the Belechick Proof. Simply put fact is Belicheck almost ALWAYS beats you the second time he plays you whoever you are. You can check it its true. But unlike PIT , NE knows going into this game that they own the team they are going to play. Philly doesnt know to beat NE. They can only try. While NE WILL beat up on Phiily on Sunday. Finito.

There's an old adage that all of us know "On any given Sunday...". Which means that there's always a chance for any team to win.

That being said, a good prognosticator is going to take a look at the statistical and emotion condition of both teams, considering all of those factors that indicate which team is most likely to win against the spread.

I haven't seen a good analyisis or comparison indicating how the Eagles are superior in any statistical or emotional category - just the opposite.
There's always an opportunity that the Eagles could win, but right now everything is leaning in the Patriots favor.

And please, don't give me any of that "McNabb is gonna killem" crap! McNabb is only one of 11 players on the field, and if the others aren't ALL playing their "A" game against a Pats defense that will have to be playing it's "D" game, they won't score a TD.

On the other side of the ball, the Eagles defense will have to figure out how to stop both Cory Dillon and Tom Brady - or the Patriots will score 4 or 5 TDs. Remember that the Patriotrs O line gave Brady a ton of time t0 march the Patriots dowwnfield and score 4 TDs against the vaunted Pitt D.

The Eagles are a good team who deserve recognition, but the odds are stacked against them.

How do they own the Eagles? Because they beat them in regular season game LAST season? When there was no Terell Owens, Jeremiah Trotter, Jevon Kearse, Derrick Burgess(yes this guy can track down QB's), etc.

That was the only matchup between this 2 teams while they have both recently reigned as NFL's elite. Dating back further, they have only played twice in the last 6 years. Eagles won then, but like last year's very early season game, it means nothing. Sunday evening is the only thing that matters.

But to say that they "OWN" a team, which is no where even near the team that they played, is a little far fetched if you ask me.

Ah denial...the stuff that makes bookies rich! Gotta love it, Recall...it could never happen to my team...they could never lose a rematch!

Well seeing how you like to point to stats from the last meeting, heres one for you...turnovers.
The Eagles had 4 fumbles and 2 int's the last game. That in turn changed their gameplan to a catch-up passing game in the second half...hence the 7 sacks.

Do you think you can really count on another 6 to 0 turnover advantage again in this game?

All I'm saying is if the TO advantage is more even this time (which is quite likely) then the outcome of New England winning again will be less likely...let alone covering a 7 point spread.

It's not too late to take Philly and the points. Good Luck to all.

Eagles Pretenders Will Show Today, Deer In The Headlights

Who have the eagles beaten this year? You lost 27-3 at Pittsburgh. The Eagles suck, just like Atlanta. I call them the Buffalo Bills of the new millenium. They will always lose the big game. Maybe you could get Peyton to play QB? HAHAHA!

The point is...DON'T put Tom Brady in such an elite group until he has shown the long term ability to get his team to the promised land, winning two SB's is definately a good start but consider that EACH of the two wins came on last second FG's.

tom is setting the bar pretty high for anybody in the future..
