After spending the day in Clemson yesterday, Wet but enjoyed The Tigers Big Win Over The Irish, Which Now Has Us Up To #6 In The Polls!
But then I came home........back to reality!
And guys, I've never seen anything like this.
We personally got 19.2 inches of rain at our house,
along with a lot of Flood Damage & we live on Fairly a High Ground.
Trees have fallen, we have rivers rushing through our yard.
It's truly unbelievably. I personally know of 20+ local roads & bridges
that have gave way within 5 miles of my house.
A lot of people do not have flood insurance, including my family.
Just never thought we would need it & most local insurance agents
here do not offer Flood Insurance.
Neighbors & Others around here are asking for help with Go Fund Me Accounts.
Land we are hoping for some help from FEMA, BUT YOU KNOW HOW THAT GOES!

Prayers Please

Oh man, I've dealt with a flood to my apartment before but never to the extent that you're going through. I hope you find the financial assistance you need and hope you can salvage your property. Good luck shotdoc

My brother lives in Columbia. Talked to him today said it was horrendous. He seems to be one of the lucky ones that has no damage. But neighbors and friends have lost everything. Stay safe!

Live in SC myself but never seen anything like the photos I've seen of the Midlands and Charleston. As you can tell by my name, I pull for that other team in SC. At times like this, rivalries are put aside. Prayers for you and your family.

Living here in Houston, I've experienced plenty of floods over the years. Hope everything works out for you and you get your life back in order soon.

these insurance companies are scumbags.. when we had hurricane sandy here in NY in my area which is right on the water in brooklyn we were devastated.. it was literally a perfect storm an easterly wind blowing the water onto land with a super high moon tide with storm surge some people i know still haven't finished rebuilding their houses. but yet if you had hurricane insurance or flood good majority of people didn't get paid they try to avoid paying at all costs these companies.. the only thing that insurance covered without question was cars. i know the struggle of this type of situation shot my prayers are with you good luck hope it all some how works out for you and yours

Yea man, it's disastrous here. Haven't seen anything like it since Hugo, and the water damage is worse than then...The sun is finally shining here again, but unfortunately, it's just opening up the light on the crazy amount of damage...

Shot Doc. Sometimes it's better not to have insurance. I heard from a friend near the Lake County Fire here that FEMA is working first with those without insurance. Also FEMA has been much better running their programs because of how badly they treated Katrina losses under the Bush Administration. I hope for you that your house is at least livable while you wait for financial help. They say it will come, but not quick enough for most.

I have an interest following how well FEMA helps because someday we will need them here in California when the earthquake they say is overdue happens. No one here has insurance either. It would cost me almost $2.000 a year and has a 15% deductible. My thoughts go to you and your family and please, don't ever say you are sorry for not posting. Posting should be the farthest thing of importance in your life right now.
