I'm going to kill this thread right now by saying its a load of Bollocks. I'm fed up of hearing the public angle, all it is, is people who think they have the jump on the rest of the World.

I totally agree with those who say that FADING THE PUBLIC is basically OVERRATED...

You need to do your own homework and recognize that at best, knowing which side the Public in on is only one out of many criteria to use when handicapping a ball game...

P.S. Shrink, I tend to agree with you here, except in certain monster game meets queer line trap spots(usually NFL, bowl game, or NCAA Hoops tourney game) where "it looks too picturebook" and ALL are on it and it's number is still way short.

Work in a Las Vegas sportsbook for a few years and tell me going against the public is overrated.

It may not be the #1 consideration in handicapping a game, but it is something that is very important to take into consideration on almost every game one wagers on.......for most individuals it should be that is.

That fact is that overall it is not overrated, for the simple reason the HUGE MAJORITY of bettors never even consider it............95% of which are losing sportsbettors.

Given this fact, it would be very difficult for anyone to convince me that this aspect of handicapping is overrated.

I agree, as an A-to-Z model, one needs to take 11/10 instead of lay it to make public plays pay off large, but if used as copper material in spot play situations..it can be excellent stuff.

Shoe, that last line is dead on. when you can find your own personal consistent loser they are like gold. make sure to keep them pure. don't tell them your fading them and don't give them capping advice.
