When I first looked at the line I thought Indy was the play with the tournament being played in Indianapolis and Indiana only at -2. Digging deeper into the match I found the following.

  • Illini is one game better overall at 18-13, both were 7-11 in conference play
  • Both won at home, Indy by 10, Illini by 3 in OT
  • Illinois has won four of five including road wins over Mn, Mi St and Iowa and a hm win over Neb
  • Indiana has won three of their last nine and two of four, losing last two at hm to Neb and rd to Mich
  • Champain is 150 miles from Indianapolis and Indiana is 50 miles so is it a hm game?

I don't know but I think Indiana has a tough time here and maybe Illini +1.5 in the first half could be worth playing. I still haven't decided.

What is your take on this one guys?

fishy is right. dont know how much of these tourney games get home team bias based on location - playing in a big arena doesnt help, weekday during the day - prob doesnt help get a big crowd. plus schools might be on spring break. like Illinois here to win straight up!

Illinois has been a tremendous road performer as of late as well. Covering their last three and 4 of the last 5. They also have a history of showing very well in the conference tourney. Also, I'd take Groce over Crean 8 days of the week. Illini is the play I think!

INDIANA: 2-7 SU/ATS Last 9 in tourney; 2-5 SU/ATS run in openers

They are bad in the last 9 years here.

Don't throw away the best play of the day. IU has Noah playing and the line doesn't reflect that, what we have is an extreme overreaction to the good play of Illinois of late but they are still a year away from making noise in the big ten they are showing flashes of what will be next year. Hoosiers by 7 in the first and 10 for the game.

Location and distance from campus is incredibly overrated and I'd day worthless in these tourneys..

from my pea brain.....IU is a good 1st half team and a terrible 2h team. If you like Illy, I would either bite on Ill 2h or Ill for game but not Ill 1h

I looked at this line also and was hoping to get Illinois at 3-4. I don't think this is a close game. I lean illinois ml. I think it is a better value.

The B10 tournament is a sellout, and Indiana's fans do show up. IU played 2 games down the stretch without Noah V, there best player. IU has been very inconsistent, and coupled with Illinois late season success, hence the reason for the low number. If IU plays well, they will beat Illinois handily, but given their track record this year and their youth, that is one BIG IF! I think IU will overcome their lack of guard play and win this game, I am playing a small bet on IU

Yea how did that home court help against bottom feeders NW and Penn St.? Both of these teams blow.
Pass.

Great discussion guys, I love it. I thought with IU getting the freshman back the line would be bigger. We'll see what happens in the next two hours.

Crean sucks as an x and o's guy. His teams are pathetic defensively. He has recruited well at IU and that is
it. Good hit on the Illini.
