Virginia as a home dog +14 to Maryland?

Does not seem quite right. Is Maryland greatly out-recruiting Virginia? No.

Virginia is a bad team no doubt. But how good is Maryland? They had a lot of trouble with Delaware and lost by 10 to Mid Tennessee State. Not so strong.

They out-yarded Delaware by 151. In 4 games vs D-1 teams since they are minus 45 yards vs Mid Tennessee, minus 164 vs Cal, plus 33 vs Eastern Michigan, minus 72 vs Clemson. Minus 248 overall vs D-1. That just isn't that impressive. On the road -14?

I will plug my nose and whack Virginia.

I agree with pretty much everything. Not to mention we are well known to play to our level of competition. I really see this game being close.

Yeah I would tend to think this is a game not many people other than fans of the teams notice and it's a close game maybe low scoring.

win or lose, your read on this game is dead-on. maryland might win by 20+ ... who knows. but its a bad number imo. and its cavs or pass.

I watch this Maryland team year in and year and Ralph doens't usually get the ball rolling until mid season and continues to get his team better and better until bowl time.

It seems like a large number at first for me against UVA but now I am not sure sure. I think since it did stick out like a sore thumb then it might be a trap line.

I'm not sold on this game quite yet and have it as a no play. I'll see where the numbers take me.

If I were looking at Maryland games, I'd stop making assumptions on Delaware. They are one of the top I-AA/FCS programs with good talent in all areas. It is no shock they held their own against Maryland & that is with breaking in a new QB & RB. I wouldn't hold that game against the Terps at all.

I was on Duke last week over Virginia. One angle I played fading Virginia is their lack of depth. Sure enough as the game moved into the second half, Duke routed them.

It would be tough to back VA against an improving/hot Maryland team.

Virginia has been turning the ball over. That will make things ugly. But maybe they are about due for the turnover ball to bounce their way.I would think they are teaching their QB's not to force stuff and the runners to hold on to the ball.-4 vs Duke -2 vs UConn +1 Richmond -2 USC. When you are negative in turnovers, things can look worse than they are.The worse teams are with turnover margin the more the coaches start preaching at them in practice to protect the ball. If they do, I think they cover. Theyve been bad on the road two weeks in a row and just had 6 turnovers at Duke. Time to circle the wagons. No they arent any good, but its not like I'm asking them to beat LSU. All they have to do is protect the ball and hang in there at home vs Maryland. Unless their program has completely fallen off a cliff, they should be able to do that. I think they can win this game.

people will be all over Maryland because they beat clemson, thing is clemson is a fraud.
