Something is fishy with spyware. I continue to get it even after immediately cleaning it out..

I use AD-Aware, Spy Sweeper AND SPYBOT..

Even after cleaning my drives I still find some more in 30 mins!!!!! Even after a reboot...WTF.

So I downloaded a program called TROJAN HUNTER 3.85 (version) and it ROCKS..It found some Trojans I NEVER would have thought I had...I am very cautious and pretty PC savvy..

I couldnt believe the amount of Spyware SPY SWEEPER found...VERY good program..and its not all that hard to "find" the registered version STRAIGHT FROM THE MANUFACTURS PAGE!!!! lol

I mean where is this spyware coming from?
Im not even clicking foreign websites

lol

Yes I have used Kazaa...
I am pretty good with this stuff and thought I had it all nixed...

I am definitely open to ANY suggestions..I mean I dont use Kazaa often and when I do..I use it for a specific reason and dont leave myself vunerable..

I am also behind software firewalls and a router...

Its just mind boggling..

My next step is to manually find them and delete the ##@ing files off the hard drive..

Sometimes when I am looking for a "crack" for studying purposes only. Its AMAZING how many things try to install themselves...but even when I behave they are catching up to me. lol

I hada freakin fit a few months ago with some trojans on my computer that kept resetting my home page, adding websites to my favorites list, and even my address box up above! Ad~Aware or spybot, Norton, etc. would not find them until I think Cheater send me one to scan my computer with and caught 7 trojans. I then had difficulty going in and deleting all of the files, etc. Finally, and thankfully, my last computer crashed and forced me into another one to save me the trouble........

Wiz, also be sure to hit Windows Update & get all the critical updates. Many of these trojans & worms exploit vulnerabilities in IE.

Also, get yourself a personal firewall-truly a must have to prevent a lot of this crap.

Thanks for mentioning Spysweeper. It found over 100 files/cookies that Spybot does not find.
Only problem--$29.95/year. I'll see how it does for one year.

Dante, I would stick with the well known one's, there are ton's AND ton's of Spyware removel software..

In most cases the $$$bad products$$$$ are offered by the bottum dwellers that produce the Spyware in the first place....

I mentioned this before in another thread..

After running any kind of Spyware removel software you inherantly leave garbage behind in your computer's brain (the registry) this garbage, over time, causes your computer to slow down and get sluggish..Get some assemblance of registry cleaner software Regvac is a good 1 Crack site

Backup the files you want.
