Someone tell me why this is smart?

Tiger Cats sign Kenton Keith to a three year deal worth $145,000 per season. Couldn't this money be better spent on... pretty much any other position? This is the only position where they clearly have several strong players, including the best RB in the CFL, non-import Jesse Lumsden.

lumsden's always injured but Terry Caulley is teribly under rated. he performs well whenever asked but they don't use him enough. Even Tre Smith has performed well when called upon but the phased him out f the offence early to the point where he doesn't even return all kicks and he was good in that role early

but let's not confuse hamilton with a good organization. they make lots of questonable moves. Printers has been a huge bust. Richie Williams can do the exact same thing as Printers but he's a better team guy, he's cheaper and he wants it more.

kenton keith is a fav of mine though. if you want to see a guy i think that's using the juice, it's keith. he looked huge for Indy last year. he actually did a really good job in games i saw him in but he just looked much bigger and stronger than his CFL days.

I agree that hiring Keith is questionable. Since rush attack is already strong, adding another runningback may not improve the team. Weaknesses remain unless fixed. But there might be reasons for such a move. Perhaps, manager believes in building a team by signing best players available regardless of depth in personnel. Also rumour is that Lumsden is potential trade bait.

keith tried to come back to sask on two occassions, once when he was first cut and then again after cates went down last week. but the riders had no cash to sign him. the same problem edmonton and bc had ( 2 other places he wanted to go ) while hamilton may not be attractive these are professionals and they need work. 3 years at 145 a season is the best deal out there for him to work
