Someone Please Explain Dumass' Stem Cell Policy

how can anyone agree w/ it? oops, i forgot, 70% of americans don't aggree, along w/ 60 senators. this issue alone is why bush needs to go. the research holds the promise to cure Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, paralysis, stroke, diabetes and so many more disorders that do or will effect 1 out of every 2 Americans. This is just another conservative policy that most Americans disagree with, along w/ the world’s most prominent doctors, researchers and world leaders. how can you see someone like christopher reeve and say "i'm sorry, we won't cure you because of a relgious driven policy. you're going to die the way you are because a clump a 3 day old cells, that will be thrown into the trash anyways, is equal to your life."
how can we, as the greatest country in the world, turn its back on science while dozens of other countries going on w/ the research? bush will lose on this issue...............PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know since superman fell off his horse this topic has gained much publicity as the scientist are sure to gain financially and the people are given hope. "Hope is not on the way" with using aborted stem cells. Wasted tax payers money is all it is. Of course the stem cell researchers want the money, as do the AIDS researchers, cancer researchers and the common cold researchers. Crick just died and he could even figure it out.

Isn't Bush the first president to support ANY federal dollars for stem cell research? Didn't Slick Willie issue an executive order banning any federal funding involving human embryos?

you guys are pathetic. clinton didn't ban embryonic stem cell research. it was discovered in 1997.

where do you get this "Hope is not on the way"? esc are proving to work in multiple models. it's obvious you don't know anyone who has a disability/disorder that can be cured by this research. bush says he's a "compassionate conservative." by bannning this research he only shows he's blinded by the far right. every doctor working w/ embryonic stem cells say their abilities are undefined and possibly endless.

in 20 years when this research has cure millions, history will look back and view W's 4 year term as a complete insult to not only science but to everyone who suffers a day longer because of his religous based ban.
