heart attack as he has not responded or updated his website. I tried to do a seach but could not find the thread with my PC incompetance. Here is what a friend of his had to say. He is fine, it seems.

He's okay, recovering from hospitalization and some minor problems. He's
been advised to lay low for a while and give his heart a chance to get
back up to speed ... He promises to get back to the web before football
season starts.

Thanks Tom. JR is a good guy.

what the hell are you smoking? JR is a good guy? and the pope is Jewish, right?

Mr. J is right too bad for his followers because JR has been a long term loser for at least the last 5 years. he leaves his plays posted on his site and i tracked thousands of plays and he lost. JR scams people out of lots of money by defrauding them.

sorry this is old, i was doing a search on something and this popped up and i had to reply

Yeah I know. I totally agree. He cons people by his info filled website, claims of being a pro and info from all the pros, and tracking the results....He seems like the real deal but boy he cannot handicapp a lick. Terrible.

I just don't understand how someone can go on waking up each day doing what JR does. He has some emergency heart surgery and gets a second chance at life and now on his track us page he says he'll be back selling plays in July. When is enough enough?

And how can you go on making that many plays a year and not figure anything out? I seriously question the man's intelligence considering he has been a supposed "professional" gambler for at least 20 years and he is a perennial loser. Oh wait, he is intelligent because people are paying thousands of dollars each year for his great "wisdom".

and then his book was complete shit. The system he describes in Chapter 2 hits
54%? HAHAA, 50% at best, complete garbage.. that was a waste of 25 bucks.

Your frequent posts tell us you have a hard-on for this guy. I mean you posted 3 out of 4 of the last posts.

I never said the guy was a good capper. I said he was a good guy. He's a horrible capper.

How is he scamming anyone when he posts all of his picks moments after the contest goes off? Have you had any dealings with him or are you just running your mouth?

how is he a good guy? He completely lies to people on his website making completely bogus "expectations" such as this:

" If you 'track' us we ask that you reserve judgment for at least 100 observations, (200+ is preferable). We expect to gain between 40 and 120 betting units per 1,000 picks - (but not EVERY 1,000 picks) - and we expect upwards of 2,000 picks per year. YOUR results figure to be better than ours due to your ability to shop for lines, which cannot be accounted for in record below."

How can this guy be a horrible capper and a good guy at the same time when he sells subscriptions for thousands of dollars? Do good guys sell picks on plays that they no are going to lose? Is that your idea of a good guy? that's sad if it is

I've dealt with JR through email on many occasions and much of what he would tell me about handicapping was untrue once I did my own research on the things he claimed were true.. (things like home field advantage in certain leagues etc.. He didn't have a clue or hadn't bothered to check the home field advantage within the last 3 years)

No I don't have a "hard on for JR" as I am not gay but I just cannot stand people who are dishonest as I consider myself to be an honest person so people like JR annoy me very much.

It would be pretty easy for JR to provide a legit tracked record, not the misleading record that only goes back as far as makes it look best.

He could have a record for:

2004
2005
2006
etc.

But that would show his picks lose !

He's just a tout, and not even a half-way decent one !

basically a crook, who's talent is writing.

I think he's a good guy because he posts his plays. People can look for themselves to see how he's done in the past. Just because he sells plays and loses doesn't make him a bad guy. That's like saying a guy who sells cars with defects is a bad guy even though the buy points out what is wrong with the car. It's up to the buyer to educate themselves before buying.

If he would hide this fact I would agree but his picks are posted.

But the picks are posted in a misleading way, he says something like at least the last 40 picks.... then if picks say 41-80 were losers, he stops at 40, if picks 41-60 were a good run, he'd show the last 60, and so on.

He wants you to track him for at least a few hundred picks, why should you have to do that ? He could just post a record for last 50,100,200,1000, entire years, etc.

He implies his picks will hit like 56-58%, they don't hit 50%. You'd probably win a little fading his picks.

Very true. He is deceptive AND misleading. As a matter of fact like the previous poster mentioned he used to summarize for three months and for the year (especially during winning streaks) when he wanted to....BUT if you notice he has not done that as much the last handful of years because he has lost the vast majority of the time. It is truly deceptive on his part. If someone hops on his site and he has 25 days...big deal. Show me all of 2006. All of 2005. All of 2007 from Jan to know...you will not see it.

I see what you're saying Doug. I wasn't familiar enough with him to know that he had done this. All I knew was that he posted his plays shortly after the game started so I thought he was being honest.

Just because he sells plays and loses doesn't make him a bad guy.

It's extremely irresponsible as he passes himself off as someone who is experienced and bets successfully.

It's up to the buyer to educate themselves before buying.

Sure, but putting responsibility on the buyer does not take away from the fact the JR is being dishonest and making money out of it.

I think he's a good guy because he posts his plays

This suggests you think all touts are "good guys".

Fact is he is dishonest/misleading about his past performance in order to get people to sign up. He posts articles filled with false info on his website to give the impression he knows his shit which he obviously does not. His actions are dishonest and irresponsible, hardly traits of someone I would call a "good guy". The guy (like every other tout) should be charged with fraud etc.

What I meant, and what I stated in other posts in this thread is that he posts his plays shortly after the game starts and tracks them. What I wasn't aware of was what Doug pointed out, that he tracks them for whichever time shows him to have a good record. The times I have viewed his record he had shown a losing record at times so I was not aware that he was so selective.

Often he can't show a winning record, but he can sure show less of the losing record.

If he was good, the whole record would be there.

He is kind of a bad guy because he preys on newbies to buy his picks, and the picks are worthless.

At one time he was good, but it was his ( now dead) brother making the picks.

Now its like a car dealer, and the salesman has to try to be the mechanic.

That's cool quantum. People should just know who these type of people really are. A lot of people have fallen for his crap.

So he is a bad guy because he is a good salesman?

Society would judge him bad because he lies and cheats. What he is doing is actually fraud.
