This is how important PSI of footballs is to the NFL.

Wheres the investigation?

  • NFL refs mistakenly left game balls at hotel on day of Patriots-Chiefs game
  • osted Jan. 21, 2016 at 11:34 AM
    BOSTON (AP) — This ball controversy can't be blamed on the Patriots.
    Massachusetts State Police came to the rescue before Saturday's NFL playoff game between New England and the Kansas City Chiefs by delivering footballs that game officials left at their hotel.
    A state police spokesman said at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday, league officials contacted the Hyatt at Logan Airport to say that some balls and air pressure gauges had been left behind. The balls were the ones used in the kicking game.
    Hotel workers entered the room and a state trooper drove the equipment to Gillette Stadium, arriving about an hour before kickoff.
    The Patriots beat the Chiefs 27-20.
    The officials' gaffe came about a year after the start of the "Deflategate" scandal, when the Patriots were accused of using underinflated balls. The drama led to league changes in how footballs are handled before games.

Pat, I'll be in a quandry if NE & AZ make SB, love Larry he's way overdue. Can you imagine what he & Tom would have done together? BTW both Larry & M. Floyd are TC HS players. Doesn't say much for UofM recruiting. Pitt & ND.

UofM = Minnesota?

Why are you going to judge Minnesota for:

1) Floyd (Notre Dame) --- some guys are in love with Notre Dame, and no amount of recruiting will change that.
2) Fitz (Pitt) --- his grades were in the shitter (partially due to mother's health), and several schools avoided him.

Two glowing profiles of the Minnesota-raised athlete appeared today -- one in the New York Times, the other in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune -- that carried news sure to make Nittany Nation groan. Larry grew up a Lion fan and wanted to attend Penn State.

The Times reports that PSU's "coaches reduced their recruiting efforts because his grades were not up to par."

The Star-Tribune adds that Fitzgerald academic plunge coincided with his mother's cancer diagnosis and was met with a swift solution from Larry's sportswriter father. Fitzgerald, partially because of the suggestion of former Pitt Panther great Chris Doleman, was sent to Valley Forge Military Academy.

The action worked. 18 months later Fitzgerald graduated from VFMA and academically qualified for Division I collegiate football. After learning of Fitzgerald's classroom success, the New York Times reports, both Ohio State and Michigan State offered scholarships but Larry held true to his pre-VFMA commitment and went to Pitt.
