that shot was way harder to make then it looked. when he caught it he was behind the back board and was lucky imo to get it even that close.

the loss i think should be put on JJ.

and most people on that site say JJ to, but a good minority said Lee as well which made no sense to me.

i wonder how many media and sports writers really watch or know anything about bball, if the magic had made just 1 more free throw that they missed the game would of never went to overtime? cant blame lee for missing or for losing the game especially on that shot with less than a second left

Are you serious? It was not that hard a shot. An NBA player has got to be able to make that shot.

That being said, the blame for the loss goes primarily to Dwight Howard. This is the Finals, pal, not a mid February game vs. the Grizzlies. Get your lazy ass down the floor on defense and quit whining to the refs about a missed foul call.

JJ Reddick is to blame? You have to be kidding. He was one of the few players on the Magic who was actually making things happen down the stretch with penetration and kickouts. Although it would have been nice to seem him take it to the basket more often.

Beg to differ. The pass was sailing long and Lee caught the pass BEHIND the backboard and had to bring it back up all while flying forward. By the time he was laying the ball up off the rim 3/4 of his body including his head was already out of bounds.

Gasol's presence too you had to believe altered the shot, Lee went a little too high with it off the glass to make it come off front rim...

Listened to Avery Johnson's take and said that shot is made 10 out of 10 times. (i.e. easy shot). He also said Kolby really f'd up defensively. He also said he was going to steal that play from Van Gundy when he gets back into coaching.

That was not that hard of a shot to make. I can do that out on the court myself. Uncontested, wide open layup, game on the line. This is the NBA.

Thank you. Some people on here think all Courtney Lee did was cherry pick the shot. What they don't realize is that pass was sent towards an area for him to get to. Not direct pass to him. Therefore he had to catch up to the ball which was already out of bounds, then bring it back inbounds while still moving laterally.

Imagine standing on a skateboard sliding by and trying to make a basket when you've already passed the target.

...and fruitcakes on here talkin bout how they'll hit that 10 outta 10 times.:ohno:
