No doubt there's a double standard. That's why the Brady bunch does what they do.
They know they can get away with it or pay a fraction of what most others would pay
if they are caught. If he was a non-starting back he'd be kicked off the team.

Seems the investigators don't think Brady was being truthful

he refused to hand over his cell phone and emails to the investigators. I'm interested to see your feelings about Brady hiding his emails and Hillary Clinton hiding hers. I'm thinking you're gonna think it's ok for one of them.

Well one's communications are property of the US Government and the American people while the other's is a personal cell-phone no one, not even the NFL, has a right to without a court order. What if Brady is creeping? What if he has a gay lover? What if he likes watching young dudes piss all over old ladies before games? What if he has an account at an offshore betting baseball? What if there is something on his phone unrelated to the NFL that would cause him great harm and embarrassment. Do you think the NFL would be able to keep that a secret? He was smart not to turn it over.

so they've paid the biggest fine ever, but it's a fraction of what others would pay.

Yeah but the Pats are on the wrong end of that double standard you speak of.
Brady is a first time offender, got more than Ray Rice did for knocking out his fiance on video. There isn't any proof that Brady deflated balls but he gets 4 games.
Kraft and Belichick were completely exonerated by the Wells report all you guys are hanging your hat on, yet Kraft loses a Million and Belichick a 1st and 4th rounder.

One hell of a double standard.

I'm sure they cheated in those years too....its in the DNA they say.. Fuck'n cheater fumbled the ball in 01 too...

The only thing your sure of is that you don't like the Patriots.
And what control do the Patriots have over an officials call on the field. Thats their fault too? Your grasping.

I'm fucked up I know....LOL.. but the Pats are getting the fines, suspensions, and the loss of draft picks...

Brady should have gotten a game for not telling the truth. 4 is ridiculous based on what was done here (not by him btw). It will be reduced, we will see by how much.
The fine is ridiculous since Kraft didn't do anything wrong.
The draft picks are ridiculous since Belichick didn't do anything wrong.
Atleast thats what you guys read on the Wells report so it must be true right?

And why isn't Brady getting fined personally? Why is the team getting fined?
That confused me. All I read on here is that the QB would be the only one who has say over how the balls feel, yet then the team gets fined?
They should have just fined Brady whatever they felt was appropriate for the crime, not the team.
QB's all over the league says this goes on. The NFL lets them prep the balls! Maybe they should be more on top of things.

Tom Brady's 4-game suspension costs him $1,882,352 in salary

Thats my point. Why not just just suspend the guy without pay? Why add on to the team which is silly. The Wells report is gospel to all you folks, Kraft and Belichick had nothing to do with it right? So why the excess.

And as far as it says, the Organization complied with every request. The video's, the interviews, everything. Yet they still get whacked? Goodell is off his rocker.

I think the team got hit with the fine because the employees doctored the balls and made up dumb stories for Wells. The employees are part of the organization.

They also are prohibited from working with footballs going forward.

Hard to say that with no proof. None. I'm not saying it didn't happen, it very well may have, but they still have no proof.
Remember, all you have is Walt Anderson's "best recollection". Ofcourse that is good enough for anyone who wants to see the Patriots sink, but not for any punishment to hold up.

Walt has no fucking clue where the PSI was, where the balls went, and why he allowed balls which he lost to enter the game.

And lets not forget what happened after good old Walt put more air in the balls (1 PSI LOL).
Oh yeah, we remember how bad Brady was then right?

And how Brady went on to win the Super Bowl right? Those balls must have been light too right?

Going to be interesting knowing how willing the Pats are to get rid of anyone if the price isnt there if Garroppolo comes in and lights it up. Brady comes back and struggles some.

I said this in another thread. Shit could get interesting if Jimmy G starts 2-0 while looking good.
Brady will be 39

Yeah after the game he was heard saying if the ball had less air I wouldn't fumble and could throw the ball better and since it's only 5 yards it won't bounce off the receivers

lol you're delusional..

They were caught cheating against the Jets, who sucked. If you're gonna cheat against weak teams, it's not exactly a stretch to imagine that you'd do so against good ones. They won all of those first 3 Superbowls by exactly a field goal(and, of course, were gifted the last one), and in the Eagle victory, some of the Eagles thought it was strange how they, the Eagles, called blitzes 5 times during the game, and 4 of the 5 times, the Patriots threw a screen pass. Anybody else, I'd shrug that off, but those scumbags don't get the benefit of the doubt from me.

They specifically mentioned that the Patriots' past was factored in, and why wouldn't it? Furthermore, they didn't feel that Pretty Boy was being candid, plus, he refused to cooperate and turn off his text messages. FUCK HIM! The arrogance of this organization is sickening.
